Palantir builds software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more.

The Program

Palantir launched the American Tech Fellowship to arm Americans with the skills to deploy cutting-edge software in the workforce. Fellows will have an opportunity to explore and build on Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) and earn a professional certification in its use. Exceptional performers will earn an opportunity to interview for a role at Palantir or partner companies, where they can use their newfound skills to contribute to the reindustrialization and revival of America.

The Role

The American Tech Fellowship - Mobilize is an accelerated training program that teaches those with technical backgrounds how to rapidly utilize Palantir’s Foundry & AIP tools. Working with our training partners at Ontologize, we train American Tech Fellows over eight weeks in data engineering, AI workflows, and Palantir’s world-class platforms, guided by leading experts and practitioners. Fellows will learn:

  • How to wield Palantir’s cutting-edge AI and data analysis tools to solve real-world problems.
  • The ins-and-outs of building custom tools with Palantir’s Foundry and AIP platforms.
  • The ways that AI is poised to transform every industry—and how those who know how to use it effectively will thrive.

ATF - Mobilize moves fast and doesn’t hold hands. This is by design. This course is intended to rapidly mobilize America’s technically inclined, cleared workforce and immediately get them into the fight to support the American worker and warfighter.

What We're Looking For

We want builders—people who are hungry to learn whatever it takes to win in the new AI era and aren’t afraid to wire a sensor, flash firmware, or ship production code to make it happen.

ATF - Mobilize is ideal for:

Veterans transitioning/recently separated from the U.S. Armed Services with an active security clearance (especially, but not only keyboard warriors)

AND

Technically-inclined civilians with experience working in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB)—with active security clearances.

  • If you served our nation fighting America’s enemies behind a keyboard—we want you.
  • If you’re sitting behind a keyboard at a stultifying legacy company and longing for the days when you were doing something that actually mattered—we want you.
  • If you’re sick of watching the news and not knowing how you can use your technical abilities and security clearance to support the American worker and warfighter—we want you.

What We Value

Show us where you’ve flexed that builder’s mindset. That could look like:

  • Formal study in Computer Science, Electrical / Mechanical / Control Systems Engineering, Physics, Applied Math, Data Science, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field
  • 4+ years solving real problems on a factory floor, in field service, avionics, the military, or a garage shop—especially if you automated, instrumented, or optimized a physical process
  • Startup, maker-space, or hackathon projects that blended hardware and software e.g., retrofitting a CNC, wiring a sensor network, building a ROS robot, deploying an edge AI model
  • Transitioning U.S. service members—officer or enlisted—within six months of separation who have already been wiring, coding, maintaining, or optimizing advanced systems in uniform and want to level-up those skills with AI
  • Publications, patents, or open-source contributions in any of the stacks above

If you’ve got the fire to learn and you’ve built something that moved the needle—no matter where or how—you’re the kind of American worker we designed this fellowship for.

What We Require

  • 2+ years of hands-on work experience
  • Proficiency with one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar
  • Technical background, preferred in fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Data Science (no formal degree required)
  • Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance
