HR Manager (0.6/0.8 FTE)

By 2030, Tover — creator of the Tovertafel — aims to create 10 million moments of happiness per day for people with cognitive challenges. As our organisation grows, we want to ensure that the culture that brought us here continues to grow with us. To help us shape that next phase, we are looking for an HR Manager.

About Tover

At Tover, we believe in purposeful play. We see how moments of play can change the rhythm of a day every day. A smile. A shared laugh. A small connection between people who might otherwise struggle to engage. We build technology that makes those moments possible.

Tover started as academic research into how interactive play could improve the lives of people living with dementia. Today our Tovertafel — an interactive projection system — is used in care organisations around the world to spark engagement, connection and joy through play.

From our base in Utrecht we have grown steadily, building the company step by step.

Our ambition is simple and ambitious at the same time: achieving 10 million minutes of purposeful play every day by 2035.

Behind every minute of play is a team of people who care deeply about what they build. As our organisation grows, we want to ensure that the culture that brought us here continues to grow with us.

The role

At Tover we work with the Rockefeller Habits to create rhythm and focus. At the same time, creativity and celebration are an important part of how we work. We take our mission seriously, but we also believe progress should be visible and shared.

As HR Manager, you help build the organisation behind Tover’s mission. You work closely with the leadership team and managers to ensure that our people, culture and organisational structure support the next phase of our growth.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting managers in leadership, team development and people decisions.
  • Strengthening core HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management and development.
  • Helping shape Tover’s organisational structure as the company grows internationally.
  • Ensuring HR policies and practices remain clear, fair and aligned with our culture.
  • Supporting learning and development across the organisation.
  • Acting as a trusted partner for employees and managers on HR matters.
  • Working closely with Finance and Leadership on workforce planning and organisational development.
  • Help to further strengthen our core values and make them visible in everything we do.

What you bring

We are looking for someone who enjoys building organisations where people can do their best work.

You bring:

  • Around 6–8 years of HR experience, ideally in a growing organisation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with managers and teams
  • Experience with core HR processes and employee lifecycle management
  • A practical mindset combined with the ability to think strategically about people and organisation
  • Curiosity and a genuine connection to Tover’s mission

What we offer

You will help shape the people and culture behind a company that is growing internationally and making real impact.

We offer:

  • A meaningful role in a mission-driven technology company.
  • The opportunity to help build and shape a growing organisation.
  • A warm, entrepreneurial culture where creativity and celebrating progress are part of everyday work.
  • Competitive compensation and room to grow with the company.

At Tover, we believe in the power of purposeful play. One smile at a time. One game at a time. Co-designing purposeful games that delight and stimulate people with cognitive challenges, calls for a full-hearted approach and an inventive mindset.
Our solutions may be playful, but we solve serious care and education issues. To maximise our impact, we need to enthuse care providers, teachers, and researchers the world over. Ready to infuse your career with a healthy dose of purpose?
