About the role

This role is responsible for delivering an optimized and integrated retail media strategy aligned to the global media strategy of the organization. The goal is to maximize the performance of our e-commerce partners by improving visibility and conversion rates on leading global e-commerce platforms. The role drives full-funnel retail media activation in line with the broader marketing strategy — coordinating cross-market teams, accelerating ad tech adoption, sharing insights, and building scalable frameworks and capabilities. The focus is strategic, not executional: unlocking platform synergies, growing our in-house share of sales on key retail platforms, and ensuring visibility and conversion improvements translate into measurable commercial impact.

The impact you’ll make

  • Define global retail media strategy framework across all platforms (e.g. Amazon, Criteo, CitrusAd, other retailer networks)
  • Establish global KPIs, measurement standards and performance benchmarks
  • Deliver cross-market insights, trend analysis and strategic guidance to country teams
  • Define golden rules and media playbooks ensuring consistency with local flexibility
  • Align retail media strategy with broader commercial and e-commerce priorities
  • Lead media-specific Joint Business Planning with global and regional retail partners
  • Translate global JBP frameworks into actionable regional plans
  • Negotiate media investment terms, co-funding opportunities and innovation partnerships (with global partners)
  • Coordinate with commercial/category teams to ensure JBP alignment
  • Own the retail media tech stack — evaluate, select and manage ad tech platforms (e.g. Pacvue/Skai, commerce platforms, AMC, DSPs)
  • Drive vendor negotiations, contract management and performance reviews (including retail media agency)
  • Maximize platform adoption and utilization across markets
  • Assess new capabilities, betas and emerging platforms for strategic fit
  • Build and develop retail media competency of local market teams
  • Design and deliver training programs, playbooks and best-practice resources
  • Provide coaching and knowledge-sharing for local Retail Media Managers (indirect reporting line)
  • Provide consumer insights to influence content and marketing tools, drive continuous improvements on conversion rate, and foster community by best-practice sharing
  • Develop, inspire and manage global community of retail media managers

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring

  • Master’s degree in marketing, media, business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in digital or retail media, across both in-house and media agency environments, with regional or global scope
  • Demonstrated success working across multiple European markets
  • Deep expertise in Amazon media campaign management
  • Hands-on experience across multiple platforms, including Amazon Ads, Criteo, and retailer media networks
  • Proven ability to manage ad tech platforms and scale vendor partnerships effectively
  • Strong track record of leading cross-regional media strategies and Joint Business Plan (JBP) negotiations
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including ROAS, TACoS, and incrementality measurement
  • Experience in building organizational capabilities and leading through influence in matrix environments (indirect team leadership)
  • Solid understanding of media mix modeling, attribution, and incrementality frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging C-level executives and senior retail partners
  • Strong AI literacy, leveraging tools to enhance personal productivity and support data-driven decision-making

What we’ll give you in return

  • Competitive base salary (locally relevant), benchmarked against global industry and market leaders
  • Performance-based Annual Incentive Program, rewarding those who dare and achieve more
  • Top of the market pension scheme with higher-than-average company contributions
