Internship Fuel Controlling

At KLM’s Fuel Controlling team, you’ll have the opportunity to develop interactive dashboards using Power BI (or similar visualization tools), using data from Fuel Plus and One Stream within KLM's Finance Data Hub. You’ll also help identify, automate, and improve manual processes related to fuel data management and reporting—an internship designed to help you grow personally and professionally.

What will you do?

You will work in a dynamic and international team, playing a central role in enhancing fuel controlling processes and reporting. This includes gathering business requirements, designing and developing dashboards, and facilitating user adoption. You will also focus on identifying, automating, and improving manual processes associated with fuel data management and reporting, implementing automation solutions, and preparing documentation.

• You will gather and analyze business requirements from various stakeholders (finance, operations, IT) to determine key reporting needs related to Fuel Plus data;
• You will design, develop, and iteratively improve interactive dashboards that visualize fuel usage, costs, efficiency, and other relevant KPIs;
• You will identify, implement, and document automation solutions for manual tasks and workflows using appropriate tools (such as Power BI, Power Automate, or Excel);
• You will manage divergent stakeholder interests and support consensus-building across departments to ensure successful project delivery.

Where do you land?

You will be part of the Fuel Controlling team. You will work closely with KLM's Finance Data Hub and collaborate across various departments, including finance, procurement, and IT, to ensure successful project delivery.

Your profile

You strive for the best quality and enjoy solving problems with your hands-on mentality and agile mindset. You are eager to learn about fuel controlling processes, data visualization, and process automation in an international and dynamic environment. You have good organizational and planning skills and can break down complex issues into smaller parts.

• You are pursuing an HBO Bachelor or Master degree in a field such as Business Analytics, Finance, or a related discipline;
• You have strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with strong verbal and written English communication skills;
• Affinity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) and process automation techniques is a plus.
