Basic-Fit is growing rapidly, and our Finance department is going through various exciting projects and changes—from process improvements to the integration of new activities and new entities. We're looking for a senior financial professional to take ownership of our German-speaking markets and help scale our financial processes.

Senior Financial Controller

This Is What Your Role Looks Like

You'll be part of our Financial Control team (18 FTE), a talented international group of quick-thinking financial professionals who generate high-quality reports while working closely with the business.

We're looking for a Senior Financial Controller who takes ownership of the financial processing and reporting for our DACH entities. You work from our HQ in Hoofddorp and are the go-to person for everything finance-related in the German-speaking markets.

You focus on continuously improving the quality of monthly figures, take part in international company-wide projects, and proactively drive process improvements to make our financial operations more efficient, effective, and scalable.

Your Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the financial processing and reporting for our DACH entities
• Take part in company-wide projects and implement correct and efficient financial processes for innovations and new business models
• Analyze business processes, signal risks, and implement process improvements
• Proactively pursue business issues that impact the general ledger and evaluate acceptable solutions
• Ensure all business transactions are properly and timely recorded across all relevant entities
• Create and review reconciliations and lead schedules for balance sheet and P&L accounts
• Prepare reporting to relevant authorities and support external audit requirements
• Contribute to the further development of the Internal Control Framework

Who Are You?

You're a self-starter and problem solver; accurate, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment. You take ownership and aren't afraid to flag issues and drive change.

Additionally, we're looking for someone with:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar complex, high-volume IFRS accounting environment
• Proven track record in process improvement
• Fluent in German (required); strong English is a must, Dutch or French is a plus
• Ability to interact with all departments and levels across the organization
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced); SAP S4/HANA experience is preferred
