At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally.

The Position

As Medical & Access Chapter Lead at Roche Diagnostics, you will hold a pivotal, dual-impact role: driving patient-centric innovations as a senior Medical Value Partner while nurturing a high-performing team of experts as their Chapter Lead.

In this visionary leadership position, you will shape the future of patient pathways in the Netherlands. You will spend approximately 60% of your time as a Medical Value Partner, identifying unmet clinical needs and ensuring our innovations are integrated into routine practice. The remaining 40% focuses on Chapter Leadership, where you will act as a mentor and coach, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, experimentation, and "One Roche" thinking. If you are passionate about leading people and transforming the Dutch healthcare ecosystem, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize Patient Journeys: Map and analyse patient pathways to identify opportunities for clinical innovation and address unmet medical needs.
  • Drive Clinical Adoption: Lead the implementation of innovative diagnostic solutions into routine clinical practice, ensuring they deliver clear medical value.
  • Engage Strategic Stakeholders: Develop and maintain a high-level network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and clinical and laboratory stakeholders across the Netherlands.
  • Generate Local Evidence: Drive the generation of local medical evidence to support the integration of new technologies into the healthcare system.
  • Nurture Craftsmanship & Talent: Act as a scientific sparring partner for your chapter, developing both the hard and soft skills of your team members.
  • Foster VACC Leadership: Promote a culture of Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach (VACC) leadership, ensuring the "We ALL lead" mindset thrives.
  • Strategic Resource Alignment: Collaborate across the Healthcare Transformation Platform to ensure your chapter members are empowered and resourced effectively.

Who you are:

You are a proactive and visionary leader who thrives on breaking down silos and navigating complex, matrixed environments. You combine a "One Roche" strategic mindset with the analytical rigor to turn complex clinical insights into actionable plans, balancing short term results with long-term sustainable growth. As a coach, you are dedicated to professional growth, both your own and your team's, and you foster a safe environment for continuous experimentation.

You will also bring:

  • Advanced Scientific Background: A Master’s level of thinking (MD, PhD, or PharmD preferred) with at least 8 years of experience in the diagnostics or healthcare sector.
  • Domain Expertise: A proven track record in medical affairs, KOL engagement, and launching innovations within a commercial environment.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Dutch healthcare system, including reimbursement pathways and Health Technology Assessment (HTA).
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Experience in coaching high-performing, cross-functional teams and managing diverse international stakeholders.
  • Analytical Rigour: The ability to translate complex clinical data into sustainable funding and clinical adoption strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in English is essential; Dutch language skills are highly preferred for local stakeholder engagement.

What you get from us:

  • A workplace where fun and social impact come together.
  • An organisation where your expertise is valued, and you can make autonomous decisions within your team.
  • The chance to work with products that are fundamentally transforming oncological care.
  • Abundant opportunities for personal and professional growth; we invest in your unique path.
  • Excellent benefits including a half 13th month, performance-based bonus, lease car, 30.5 days of holiday, and participation in our stock programme.
