The Position

At Roche Diagnostics Netherlands, we are looking for a Commercial Finance Expert to strengthen our team. The core expectation of this role is to closely collaborate with the commercial, service, and legal teams to structure deals that are sustainable for both our business and our customers, always keeping the patient at the center. You will build networks across the Roche organization to drive transformational business initiatives and apply our new agile ways of working to be effective in our core business, while delivering comprehensive customer experiences and medically valuable solutions. We are looking for someone with strong commercial finance and business partnering experience.

What will you be doing?

• Be responsible for the end-to-end Contract Lifecycle Management process, focusing specifically on preparing quotes and deal calculations for regular business and tenders.
• Co-design deals with colleagues and customers, ensuring a balance between financial sustainability and customer needs.
• Analyze contracts to ensure compliance with company policy and be responsible for contract renewals (including service contracts).
• Monitor customer contract fulfillment and internal financial results at both the customer and overall level.
• Act as the finance representative in various internal improvement projects and strategic cross-functional squads.
• Partner with international colleagues to share, develop, and support solutions across the organization.
• Utilize existing systems and tools to operationalize the finance backbone of our business agreements.

What we hope you will bring:

• HBO or Master's degree in Finance or an equivalent field.
• 3-5 years of relevant working experience in a commercial finance role, preferably with business partnering experience.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, alongside affinity with using complex software tools.
• Proven ability to track priorities in a complex and dynamic environment and demonstrate ownership.
• You are a conceptual thinker able to zoom out for the bigger picture but also dive into operational details.
• You demonstrate commercial and operational excellence—a mindset for automation, standardization, and optimization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch & English (Dutch proficiency is an advantage).
• Preferably: knowledge of healthcare finances/hospital financing and experience with contract management.
