As an intern, you are part of the Supply Chain Planning department and responsible for rebuilding and improving the current dashboards. A rebuild is necessary because one of our databases will be phased out in the near future. When rebuilding the current dashboards you will also make improvements based on user requests.

Your main goals will include:

• Analyze how current dashboards are set up
• Rebuild current dashboards, with data from alternative databases
• Work closely with Supply Chain Planners to understand their desired improvements
• Implement rebuild versions of dashboards in the running business of the SMCP

Jouw profiel

We are looking for an enthusiastic HBO student who is pursuing a degree in fields such as Industrial Engineering or Information Technology.

We seek someone who is eager to learn, has an in-depth knowledge of SQL, PowerBI and Microsoft Office tools, capable of applying theoretical knowledge to practical situations, and excited about contributing to IT solutions within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Afdeling

The Supply Chain Planning department in the Sheet Metal Components Plant (SMCP) is part of the Operations division of DAF Trucks NV in Eindhoven. The Supply Chain Planning department is responsible for managing the daily operations within the factory through a production planning. This involves coordinating the flow of materials, scheduling production runs, and ensuring that all resources are utilized efficiently to meet customer demands at minimal integral costs.

The Supply Chain Planning team consists of approximately 10 colleagues who work collaboratively to optimize production processes. Each team member plays a crucial role in analyzing data, forecasting needs, and adjusting plans as necessary to adapt to changing circumstances. The Supply Chain Planning team does so by setting and adjusting parameter settings in the ERP system, based on many dashboards which present data from the ERP system. The goal of our department is to enhance overall operational efficiency while minimizing costs and lead times and meeting internal customer demands.
