Internship Privacy
Your tasks
What will you do?
- Maintaining and improving the privacy framework at an international retail organization ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations such as the European data protection regulation
- Understanding how to monitor, analyze and follow-up on privacy requests from various departments of the organization, customers or others
- Supporting the team with Impact Assessments such as DPIAs
- Getting involved in privacy awareness activities and trainings
- Keeping privacy policies up to date, developing internal data protection guidelines and material
- Supporting the team with managing and updating the organization’s privacy platform/software
- Learning how to deal with conflicting interests and priorities
About you:
- You have a passion for privacy and data protection
- You are studying or have a minor in Law and Technology, Privacy Law, Data Protection Law, Internet Law, GDPR, etc.
- You are at the last semesters of your Masters/Bachelors/HBO studies
- You are interested in drafting and reviewing contracts and policies
- You are fluent in English, other languages are a plus
- You have a flexible, proactive, and can-do attitude, you are organized with attention to detail
- You are motivated to learn, you have a strong work ethic, and are described as dependable and reliable by those who know you
- Previous internship or relevant work experience is a plus
- Familiarity with a privacy and information technology risk management system such as OneTrust is a plus

- Work From Home (WFH) Policy: For 40-hour internships, you are allowed to work from home up to 2 days per week, depending on the nature of your role. During onboarding, WFH days may vary to better support your learning and training.
- Internship Allowance: 450€ per month (gross) with 8+ holiday days (based on 40h/week).
- Travel Allowance: Max. 23€ per day (based on your travel distance), if you are not eligible for the free Student OV Chipcard.
- Additional Benefits: Access to 25% staff discount and a company laptop. Also, company gatherings like Townhalls and drinks.
Eligibility criteria
For this internship, you need to be available for 5 months starting in September 2026. Please note that your application will only be considered if you are enrolled at a school or university for the full duration of the internship. Additionally, to comply with Dutch law, one of the following must apply:
- You are an EU citizen
- You are on a Family/Partner visa
- You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, and you meet at least one of the following requirements: (1) The internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum, OR (2) your university is willing to sign a third-party agreement (Nuffic Agreement).
