As a Full-Stack Software Developer at Nedap, you will work on the further development of Nedap Luna: a digital daily calendar that helps people with cognitive impairments or dementia maintain control over their day. You will operate in a unique product environment where software, hardware, and user research come together.
You will contribute to both front-end and back-end support for a new generation of hardware, involving fundamental technical innovations such as a new communication protocol, a redesigned rendering engine for a different screen format, and voice integration for audio-based announcements. At the same time, you will ensure that our architecture can support multiple hardware generations in parallel, scalable, stable, and future-proof.
In addition, you will help further professionalize our platform for a rapidly growing user base. From backend services in Kotlin/Java (Spring) to front-end development in Vue, you will build end-to-end functionality and make deliberate choices regarding performance, scalability, and user experience.
In this role, you combine hands-on development with contributing to technical direction and long-term architecture, working on a product that truly makes a difference.
Design and build
You design and implement new features based on real-world insights from healthcare professionals and clients, across both front-end and backend.
Architecture and Quality
You make well-considered technical decisions that ensure high code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
Collaboration
You work closely with colleagues from sales, hardware engineering, and other software developers, making optimal use of each other’s expertise.
User interaction
You regularly speak with customers to understand their needs and context, and translate these into effective solutions.
Ownership
You take the lead on one or more substantive topics, set the overall direction, and define issues for the team to work on.
As a Full-Stack Software Developer, you will join a multidisciplinary team within Nedap Healthcare, where software developers, hardware engineers, product owners, and sales work closely together. The team is entering an important next phase: in 2026, we will support two hardware generations simultaneously for the first time, including the New Generation Of Hardware.
We strongly believe in a thoughtful development approach. By expanding the team, we create room for research, prototyping, and validation, for example through a “tick-tock” cadence, where one developer focuses on stable delivery while another explores, prototypes, or validates future work. This directly improves decision-making, quality, and long-term maintainability.
As a Full-Stack Software Developer at Nedap, you will make a valuable contribution to our goal: making people happier and more successful in their professional lives. In addition to your salary, you are entitled to a thirteenth month, a good pension scheme, and profit sharing with the opportunity to become a shareholder of Nedap. At Nedap, everything revolves around trust and autonomy. That’s why, along with your colleagues, you decide on your own working hours and vacation days to maintain a healthy work-life balance. We also highly value personal and professional growth. You will receive a comprehensive introduction, and we encourage you to continuously develop yourself.
You are a Full-Stack Software Developer who is energized by user-centered problem solving and enjoys working in an environment where technology, product, and societal impact come together. You are comfortable in a full-stack role and think beyond implementation alone: you want to understand why you are building something and how it can be improved. You value taking time for research and quality, especially in an increasingly complex product landscape.
You recognize yourself in the following:
Good to know: Hybrid (remote) working is common at Nedap, you and your team can coordinate your working hours to achieve a good work-life balance. You will be present at our campus in Groenlo at least one day every week.
