Let the world play!

Poki is a global online playground where millions of players and thousands of game developers come together to play, create, and connect. We’re on a mission to let the world play. To support this mission, we’re looking for a Product Designer to strengthen our design team and improve the experience for both our players and developers.

What this job is about:

As a Product Designer at Poki, you contribute to both our online playground and our developer platform. You work closely with a Product Manager and engineers to drive work end-to-end: from problem framing and discovery through design execution, iteration, and launch. This role focuses on end-to-end product design, with an emphasis on UX, product thinking, and discovery, rather than visual design, branding, or illustration. This is a self-steering individual contributor role. You are expected to shape how problems are solved, not just how solutions look.

Your challenge as a Product Designer:

  • Partner with a PM and engineers to own and deliver product work end-to-end, shaping solutions collaboratively
  • Use the roadmap as a starting point, while thinking critically about how problems are solved
  • Team up with the PM to drive discovery efforts and strengthen the process together
  • Translate complex, ambiguous problems into clear flows, wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes using Figma
  • Communicate and defend design decisions clearly, while remaining open to feedback

You:

  • You have 5–8+ years of experience as a Product Designer
  • You have experience designing B2B SaaS products, platforms, or complex workflows
  • You have strong UX fundamentals, including user research and interaction design
  • You have hands-on experience with discovery methods such as interviews, synthesis, and validation
  • You can drive work independently across UX and UI
  • You are highly proficient in Figma
  • You are comfortable working in an environment where discovery is continuous, and decisions are made close to the work

Bonus experience:

  • Experience working on developer tools, marketplaces, or data-heavy products
  • Experience working in the gaming industry
  • Exposure to experimentation, metrics, or iterative rollout

Why work at Poki?

  • We believe great work comes from feeling supported, trusted, and able to grow. Alongside meaningful professional development in the position mentioned above, we offer:
  • A competitive salary, with annual performance reviews.
  • Flexible working hours and a culture that genuinely supports a healthy work–life balance.
  • €2,000 annual Learning & Development Budget for courses, training, and learning.
  • Travel cost reimbursement for employees living outside of Amsterdam.
  • 25 days of paid vacation per year, plus additional discretionary days.
  • Hybrid work policy, with time split between home and our office, and the option to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
  • State-of-the-art equipment, plus a €2,000 work-from-home budget.
  • Free breakfast, daily catered lunch, and unlimited coffee and drinks in our pet-friendly office at Spui, in the heart of Amsterdam!

At Poki, play is how we learn. That's why we’re on a mission to create the ultimate online playground. With tons of games for players of all ages, we’re bringing fun to the next level.
By giving smart and creative people the freedom to do great work, we’re committed to creating the best gaming experience on the web for players, game developers, and advertisers.
