Operations Manager (Full-time)

We are looking for the missing piece to complete us.

We’re looking for someone who walks alongside us, thinks with us, works with us — and stands steady when things get busy.

What you'll really do with us:

• Carry the daily operation as if it were your own home
• Lead the Front Office team and the Breakfast Supervisor
• Safeguard the quality of housekeeping and rooms (external cleaning company)
• Bring structure and elevate the team to the same level
• Take ownership of projects (such as Green Key) and see them through
• Address challenging energy within the team — respectfully, but clearly
• And above all: always put the guest at the centre

New ideas? Please do.

You bring them forward, develop them, and discuss them with the General Manager.

If we had to describe ourselves in traditional terms, we are a luxury 4-star boutique hotel on the Herengracht in the heart of Amsterdam. But at Banks, we don't really like labels. So let's put it another way: we are "a different kind of house," made up of friendly, sometimes a little curious people. But we always make you feel right at home the moment you walk in the front door. When you can do what you feel like, without thinking about it. Running a bath and pouring a glass of wine (the guests, that is). Or just have one more piece of cheese. That's why everything that people are used to not including is included with Banks.

We take the time to get to know you, knowing that it's the little things that make the difference. Think of your favourite cocktail ingredients or tea blend or that golden tip about that great little store on that one hidden street. We've got it all.

Carlton Hotel Collection currently consists of 11 hotels, 7 of which are in the Netherlands, 2 in Great Britain and 2 in Belgium. Each hotel has its own General Manager, who manages his or her hotel as an entrepreneur. All hotels within Carlton Collection are at four star level.
