At Picnic, our Tech Recruitment team plays a key role in building the engineering and product teams that power our growth.

This is not a support role - it’s an entry point into Tech Talent Acquisition. If you’re curious about how great engineers are hired, love understanding what motivates people, and want to actively shape early-career tech programs, this role is for you.

As a Working Student Talent Acquisition, you’ll become part of our recruitment team and help us attract and engage the next generation of tech talent. You’ll work 16–20 hours per week (more is always welcome).

If you’re proactive, analytical, and excited about tech, we’d love to meet you.

In a nutshell

Tricks of the trade

  • Collaboration: You’ll team up with recruiters and tech hiring managers to understand what truly great engineering talent looks like. Not just on paper but in practice.
  • Sourcing: You’ll actively hunt for talent using LinkedIn Recruiter and other creative search techniques.
  • Ownership: You’ll take responsibility for parts of our early-career hiring funnel - from first outreach to improving candidate experience. We trust you to manage your pipelines, stay organized, and move things forward.
  • Strategy: You’ll help us build long-term relationships with talent. From student communities to on-campus initiatives and hackathons - you’ll contribute ideas and help turn them into reality.
  • Innovation: We love testing new approaches. Better messaging? Smarter sourcing? New recruitment strategy? Bring your ideas. Experiment. Measure. Improve. Repeat.

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You get excited when someone gets back to you on Linkedin
  • You enjoy figuring out how different personalities think and what motivates them
  • You’re curious about how engineers work and what drives them
  • You see recruitment as strategic and impactful
  • You like testing ideas and continuously improving

Your superpowers

  • You’re currently studying Psychology, HRM, Business Administration, or a related field
  • You’re proactive and not afraid to approach people
  • You communicate clearly and confidently in English (written & verbal)
  • You’re organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • You’re curious about tech and excited to learn more about technology and engineering roles

At Picnic, we use Greenhouse as our ATS. It's great if you're familiar with it or if you're curious to learn!
