Ready to kickstart your career with an exciting international tech scaleup? As a Finance Operations intern, you’ll have the chance to take full ownership of your work and make a real impact from day one.

Are you looking to develop your skills in finance operations while also sharpening your communication with clients? We're looking for an eager Finance Intern to manage payments and foster smooth collaborations with customers. If you're ready to launch your career in an international tech company, we want to hear from you!

Your team

You will join the Finance department and be part of the Finance Operations Team, a dedicated and hard-working (and fun) team of 3 members who report to the Finance Operations Lead.

The team plays a crucial role in managing our customers' financial transactions from start to finish. Their meticulous attention to detail, proactive approach and efficiency contribute to maintaining positive relationships with our customers and ensuring the overall financial health of the company.

Your role and impact

  • Assist in managing accurate, timely, and compliant payments to customers.
  • Collaborate with Customer Care and Sales to resolve issues within the Order-to-Cash process and act as a mediator to ensure fair and timely solutions.
  • Ownership of responding to our customer inquiries.
  • Manage daily operational tasks, ensuring smooth workflow and meeting SLAs.
  • Contribute ideas to improve and streamline internal processes.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations to ensure compliance.

Your profile

  • You speak English at an above-average level, French is a big plus.
  • You are enrolled in a business, economics, finance, or related academic program, or you demonstrate a clear interest in payment operations and the regulatory framework that governs compliance.
  • You are someone capable of taking on new challenges.
  • You are a hands-on problem solver.
  • You consider yourself to be someone who can work effectively on teams and simultaneously work independently, take initiative, and go the extra mile.
  • You can structure your work following the team’s checklists and develop your own to-do lists. Paying attention to details is very important to you.
  • You definitely are energetic, optimistic and imaginative!
  • Strong (professional) communicator to interact with clients and across teams.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What's in it for you?

  • Commuting costs are covered for travelling between the office and your home address.
  • Personal equipment: company laptop, keyboard, mouse and headset.
  • Enjoy 12 vacation days to recharge and unwind!
  • Start your internship with a dedicated onboarding programme alongside other interns.
  • Pet-friendly office in Rotterdam city centre, hosting 190+ international colleagues.
  • Fun team-building activities and after-work drinks every Friday.
