We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Scrum Master who enjoys working with people and helping teams grow. In this role, you’ll facilitate Agile rituals, embrace Agile values, and contribute to a collaborative and supportive environment. You will be Scrum Master for two squads, supporting them in applying Agile principles and improving their way of working. Experience with backend software development squads or teams focused on consultancy and support is a plus, but not mandatory.

You & your role

As a scrum master within Area Online Access Management, you'll play a key role in promoting a culture of self-organizing squads and making sure we work according to the Agile principles which results in an optimized workflow and an open, transparent and familiar working environment. In this way you contribute to the development of backend applications and building blocks, as well as ensuring our tooling and quality remains ahead of the chasing pack, and that our compliancy, performance and application uptime remains exceptional.

Examples for practices

  • Strengthen squad self‑organization by coaching teams on Agile principles and S@S, enabling them to take ownership of planning, prioritization, and continuous improvement
  • Improve workflow efficiency by facilitating refinement, planning, and cross‑team alignment, removing impediments that slow development
  • Elevate quality, compliance, and performance by promoting engineering best practices, supporting data‑driven inspections, and helping squads build reliable, compliant, high‑uptime applications.

Top 3 responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coach two squads to continuously improve and deliver value.
  • Help the squads apply Agile/Scrum concepts and principles within the Rabobank framework (S@S).
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters in the area to share knowledge and best practices.

You & your talent

  • You can communicate clearly and convincingly, adapting your tone to your audience.
  • You are result-driven and coordinate priorities with stakeholders regularly, with a focus on initiating improvement.
  • You are eager to learn and improve, both personally and with your squads.
  • Experience in Agile environments is required; experience in financial services or backend development squads is a plus.
  • You are self-aware, you know your unique qualities and know how to use them as effectively as possible.
  • Passion for Agile and Scrum, and at least PSM I certification.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a bonus.
  • Passion for teamwork, eagerness to speak up and share your thoughts, and willingness to embrace your mistakes and learn from them, in a supportive team environment that values diverse perspectives and encourages growth.
