Als Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Coordinator voor Ecology Systems bij Eneco ben je de schakel tussen technologie, operations en natuur.

  • Unique blend of ecology, technology, and offshore operations.
  • Mix of coordination and hands‑on fieldwork.
  • Direct impact on renewable energy and environmental protection.

Why choose Eneco?

We believe everyone deserves access to clean, affordable energy. That’s why we’re working hard to accelerate the energy transition, together. As part of our Offshore Wind team, you’ll help ensure the smooth operation of the systems that keep our wind farms efficient, sustainable, and connected with the world around them.

What you’ll do

As an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Coordinator for Ecology Systems, you’ll be the bridge between technology, operations, and nature. You’ll coordinate maintenance and logistics for ecology systems that monitor and protect the environment around our offshore wind farms — such as bird radars, fish cameras, telecom systems, and subsea & ROV surveys.

Part of your time will be spent planning and managing, and the other half you’ll be hands on, helping to keep these systems running, in the field or remotely.

You’ll work closely with colleagues in offshore operations, ecology, IT/OT, and external partners to make sure systems stay online, compliant, and reliable. Whether it’s scheduling preventative maintenance, troubleshooting a network connection, or replacing a sensor offshore, you’ll help keep the systems operating and our environmental goals on track.

Is this about you?

You bring a strong HSSE leadership mindset and a natural sense of responsibility when coordinating offshore ecology activities. You’re organized, practical, and hands‑on, balancing schedules, logistics, and resources with ease while being willing to occasionally travel offshore to support troubleshooting or maintenance. You enjoy variety—part desk, part field—and working with different stakeholders energizes you. Problem‑solving, keeping things structured, and contributing to cleaner energy and healthier ecosystems give you a sense of purpose. You communicate clearly in English, stay safety‑conscious in everything you do, and are curious about how technology and ecology come together.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Technical background, ideally in electrical engineering, instrumentation, networks, or OT/SCADA systems
  • Experience with maintenance coordination, preferably in an industrial, marine, or offshore environment
  • Familiarity with low‑voltage systems (e.g., fiber optics) and the ability to troubleshoot hardware or communication issues
  • Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
  • Willingness to occasionally travel offshore for troubleshooting or maintenance support

You’ll be responsible for

  • Coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance for ecology systems and surveys within offshore wind farms
  • Managing logistics, spare parts, and planning for offshore maintenance campaigns
  • Performing hands on (remote) troubleshooting for low voltage electrical systems, fiber optic and networking components, and operational technology (OT)
  • Supporting system integrations, upgrades, and commissioning activities
  • Visiting offshore wind farms occasionally for hands on work, sometimes on short notice
  • Working closely with ecology specialists, contractors, and offshore technicians to ensure all systems function safely, cyber secure and sustainably
  • Maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with Eneco’s safety and quality standards

This is where you’ll work

At Eneco, we work together to create sustainable energy for everyone. We believe in trust, openness, and growth — both for the planet and for our people. You’ll join a diverse team where innovation, safety, and well being are at the heart of everything we do.
