As the Director, Finance (Business Partnering) at Mambu, you'll be a pivotal leader in shaping our strategic financial direction, directly contributing to shareholder value and Mambu's competitive advantage. This role requires a visionary leader who can grasp the complexity of our business and keenly observe external conditions (market, industry, customers, regulatory changes) to guide strategic financial decisions.

What you’ll do
- Lead the execution of Mambu’s long-range financial roadmap, annual budget, and quarterly forecasts, aligning them with overall business strategy. Chair monthly forecasting and guidance sessions to ensure robust and aligned financial plans.
- Act as a corporate functions business partner for the CRO, CTPO and CCSO. Provide strategic financial insights and analysis, serving as the go-to partner for strategic decisions by providing reporting, analysis and analytics on ad-hoc requests to enhance confidence.
- Drive the enhancement of business performance dashboards and own management accounting, variance analysis, and commentaries. Proactively manage financial risks and opportunities to help the business land the numbers in line with Guidance, ensuring Revenues; Headcount & Costs are in line with expectations.
- Be responsible for finance certification of key balances and commitments under contract, including Revenue under Contract (RuC): Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), revenue waterfalls; and Costs under Contract (CuC) variable spend (e.g., external marketing, commissions), and fixed/semi-fixed spend (e.g., facilities, people).
- Lead, mentor, and strategically develop a high-performing team of three finance business partners, fostering a culture of operational excellence and analytical rigor.
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years in senior financial leadership roles, with at least five years at a Senior Manager level or equivalent, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS or technology environment.
- Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction, drive organisational change, and articulate a compelling vision for financial excellence.
- Proven expertise in leveraging data, advanced analytics, and AI to generate actionable insights and guide strategic financial decision-making. Experience in the administration of Planful or similar software is essential.
- Exceptional storytelling, persuasion, and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and effectively engage with executive leadership and diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire high-performing teams, fostering entrepreneurship and accountability. Experience managing remote or distributed teams is highly desirable.
