Start your career as a Junior Business Technology Consultant at Quatronic

What are you going to do?

As a Junior Business Technology Consultant at Quatronic, you are responsible for developing low-code solutions for our customers. You dive into the customer's business processes and consider how this can be done more digitally and better. You do this by developing functionalities that are based on low-code: a visual way of programming building flows, screens and logic. Of course, this includes reviews by colleagues and rounds of feedback from the customer, until the customer is satisfied and the solution can be implemented.

In the first month, we will teach you everything you need to know to work with the OutSystems low-code platform. Next, you will apply this knowledge to your first project with a customer. You usually work with two or three colleagues in a team, in two-week sprints.

It is possible to quickly build up your responsibility during the first year. For example, attending introductory meetings with customers and coordinating budget and planning within your project.

Monday till Thursday, we work at or for customers; on Fridays, there is time to work on developing Quatronic or yourself. You could be busy with personal development, knowledge sharing, developing new propositions for customers, organizing events or preparing a sales meeting.

Practical example

You are working on a major development trajectory that also involves another implementation partner. How do you proceed?

It is important to have a conversation with the other party, and keep having close contact. Everything we develop must match the other solution. You will schematically work out how the customer process works and how the functionalities we develop connect to it. It is important that you are on the same page with the other party about this, so you consult them a lot.

While you are a technical specialist and business consultant in one, the other party could have up to three different contacts for this, for example a Business Owner, Project Manager and Implementation Specialist. As a result, communication and progress within the project can be somewhat less smooth, so you should take this into account.

Next, you determine exactly what the interaction between all functionalities looks like and who gets what responsibilities. It is important that you record this accurately and that both parties actually work according these agreements.
