The energy transition depends on energy projects being delivered. Limited grid capacity, complex consenting processes and investment risks make this challenging for our clients. As Marketing Manager Energy, you translate these client challenges into Haskoning’s global marketing and communications strategy for Energy. Through relevant value propositions and targeted campaigns, you connect our expertise with the clients who need it. In doing so, you use your marketing skills to contribute to our commercial growth and the energy transition.

What you will do as Marketing Manager Energy
You develop the global marketing and communications strategy for Energy and take responsibility for its implementation. You combine strategic decisions with an active role in delivery, working with the content and digital marketers to turn the strategy into practical marketing plans and campaigns for Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia.
You work closely with the Business Unit Director and Commercial Director to agree priorities, using client and market insights to guide your choices. With the commercial teams, you work towards shared plans and objectives, connecting marketing activities to new business, revenue growth and profitability.
Your responsibilities include:
- Market insight and propositions: researching client needs and competitors, and using your findings to sharpen our positioning and value propositions.
- Marketing plans and campaigns: turning business priorities into actionable plans, developing campaign briefs and working with colleagues to deliver targeted global campaigns tailored to regional needs.
- Content and events: working with technical experts and marketers to develop relevant content and organise webinars, industry events and other activities that help clients understand our expertise.
- Commercial collaboration: contributing to account and growth plans, developing marketing materials for client conversations and tenders, and agreeing how campaign leads will be followed up.
- Budgets and performance: managing the marketing budget and external partners, monitoring progress and results, and adjusting activities to improve their commercial contribution.
Where you will work
As our new Marketing Manager Energy you will join the Marketing & Communications team within Industry & Buildings. Our team supports the Industry, Buildings, Data Centres and Energy markets. We work closely with technical experts and commercial colleagues. We work in a hybrid model, primarily from our offices in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Delft and Amersfoort, as well as from home.
Your focus is Energy, one of Haskoning’s nine Global Leading Markets. These are markets where we have a strong global position and aim to grow further. Within Energy, we support project developers, investors, governments and grid operators with their energy projects, from strategy and feasibility through to design and delivery. Our work covers areas including wind and solar energy, energy storage, hydrogen and energy infrastructure.
You report to the Director Marketing & Communications for Industry & Buildings. You provide direction on marketing activities, without line management responsibility.
