“Over the past six months, I’ve had the privilege to work with the Risk Management Team at The HEINEKEN Company, where I collaborated closely with senior leadership at one of the largest multinationals in the Netherlands. This experience taught me a lot about working in a dynamic business environment and confirmed my passion for combining analytical thinking with business impact.”
Twan Tjoa, Risk Management intern 2025
Internship - Risk Management
- Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Function: Finance
The internship
Each opportunity for HEINEKEN comes with a certain risk that should be considered; at the same time, a risk can turn into a loss if it materializes, but it can also be turned into an opportunity. Curious?
- Familiarise yourself with our integrated risk management information system and help maintain high-quality, up-to-date risk information to increase transparency and insights for end-users.
- Conduct research on emerging risk management topics and external vulnerabilities, exploring how risk management can become more strategic and forward-looking in anticipating changes in the external environment.
- Explore how scenario planning can be applied to risk management to help HEINEKEN anticipate different future developments.
- Research how Business Continuity Management and related resilience disciplines can be better coordinated across functions, identifying opportunities for stronger alignment, collaboration and an integrated response to disruptions.
- Support projects aimed at further developing our risk management approach and contribute ideas to make processes more effective, simple and strategically relevant.
- Help create compelling communications and training materials for functional executives to strengthen risk awareness and engagement.
