The European Green Claims Directive will introduce new requirements governing how environmental and sustainability claims are communicated to customers. To support DAF's preparation and compliance, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented intern to assist with a pan-European review of Marketing & Sales communications.

The primary objective of this project is to create a comprehensive overview of all relevant customer-facing communications currently in use across DAF Headquarters, Subsidiaries and Dealer networks. This includes presentations, brochures, websites, social media content, product literature, sales tools and other marketing materials that contain environmental or sustainability-related claims.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting a full audit of existing Marketing & Sales communication materials across HQ, Subsidiaries and Dealers.
• Reviewing communications against Green Claims Directive requirements and identifying areas requiring amendment or further substantiation.
• Creating and maintaining an inventory of environmental and sustainability claims currently used within the organisation.
• Liaising with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Legal, Product Development and Sustainability teams.
• Supporting the correction, updating and standardisation of existing communication materials.
• Developing practical guidelines, templates and best practices for the creation of compliant communications.
• Assisting in the implementation of a governance and approval process to ensure all future Marketing & Sales communications remain compliant with Green Claims legislation.
• Supporting project reporting and presenting findings and recommendations to management.

Jouw profiel

• You are studying Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Sustainability, Law, or a related field.
• You have strong analytical skills and enjoy reviewing, organising and improving information and processes.
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and have a keen eye for detail.
• You are proactive, structured and able to work independently while collaborating with colleagues from different countries and functions.
• You have a strong interest in sustainability, environmental legislation and the role of marketing communications in supporting compliance and business objectives.

Afdeling

The Marketing Communications Department is part of the Marketing & Sales organization within DAF Trucks and is responsible for customer-facing communications across the European market.

The department develops and manages product communications, brand campaigns, digital content, events and dealer marketing materials to support DAF's commercial objectives.

Working closely with Sales, Product Management, Sustainability, Legal and DAF's European Subsidiaries, the team ensures consistent and effective communication across all markets.

The department consists of approximately 20 marketing and communications professionals with expertise spanning content creation, digital marketing, events and customer communications.
