How a day in the internship could look like
Welcome to Metal!
No two days are exactly the same, but a typical day might look something like this…
You start your morning checking what happened overnight in the world of aluminium and steel. Commodity prices moved, a supplier has a “small” issue that suddenly feels very big, and somewhere in the world someone urgently needs cans or crowns.
After a quick coffee, you join a call with one of our markets to understand a sourcing challenge. Next up: diving into data, comparing supplier proposals or helping the team prepare for a negotiation with companies like Crown, Ball or Ardagh.
Lunch is followed by a team discussion on strategy: How can we buy smarter? Reduce cost? Improve resilience? Become more sustainable?
And just when you think the day is going according to plan… something unexpected happens. Welcome to procurement!
As an intern in Metal, you’ll get exposure to markets, suppliers, negotiations, strategy and real business challenges.
The unique you!
