Internship - Management Reporting & Neurodiversity
Amsterdam, NetherlandsFinance

“I was This internship showed me that data isn't only about numbers. It's also a powerful way to understand the business, connect with people and drive positive change.”

The internship

Are you studying to become a professional in the field of Finance, Engineering, Data, or Analytics, but you do not fit in just “one box”? If you are also people oriented and believe that inclusion and diversity go beyond gender, or the colour of your skin, then we may be looking for you!

In this unique internship, you'll support Global Management Reporting with the redesign and migration of our SharePoint landscape, and can add value through a variety analyses or data related improvements (yes, you can co-shape the assignment). The other part of this internship is related to NeuroHEIve, HEINEKEN's Employee Resource Group for neurodiversity, which aims to increase awareness, engage and support the community. Our monthly quiet drinks is one of the core activities.

In this internship, you'll gain hands-on experience in Management Reporting while helping create a more inclusive workplace.

As an intern, you will:

  • Support Management Reporting with the redesign and migration of the SharePoint landscape
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality and reporting efficiency.
  • Translate financial and employee data into meaningful insights and visualisations.
  • Support NeuroHEIve initiatives that increase awareness, engagement and inclusion across HEINEKEN.
  • Measure and communicate the impact of NeuroHEIve initiatives through analytics, reporting and storytelling.

Develop your analytical and interpersonal skills while helping build a more inclusive workplace.

Your new team and workplace

You will work in an international environment and are part of the Management Reporting team, one of the sub-teams in Global Accounting & Risk Management, part of HEINEKEN Global Finance. We enable the global governance cycle (planning, actuals, forecasting) which is based on the Global Data Model GreenView, covering insights on financials, volumes, brands, FTE and more. Our teams is based on Amsterdam, Krakow and India and our stakeholders cover OpCo and Region, Functions, Business Control, Investor Relations, Tax and Treasury.

At the same time, you'll support NeuroHEIve, HEINEKEN's Employee Resource Group for neurodiversity, helping drive awareness, engagement and support initiatives across the organization. In this group, you interact with people beyond the day-to-day scope of the assignment and make new connections within people (human resources) and other areas.

This unique combination allows you to gain experience in both management reporting and analytics and driving employee engagement and inclusion.

During your internship, you’ll have every opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as an organization, not just within your own team, but across departments. We trust and empower you to work with an entrepreneurial mindset. At HEINEKEN, we love bringing the outside world in and welcome fresh, new ideas with open arms. Of course, we’ll make sure you get the guidance that suits you.

What a day in the internship could look like

After your morning coffee, you connect with the Management Reporting team to discuss progress on projects or connect with our colleagues in Krakow to align on the status of the monthly reporting. You spend the morning creating models, analysing data, optimizing processes or reviewing reports. Along the way, you'll collaborate with colleagues to improve the end to end reporting processes and sharing of information such as reporting instructions or dataset infopacks.

In the afternoon, you'll switch gears and support NeuroHEIve initiatives. One day, you might analyse participation data from a neurodiversity workshop. Another day, you could help prepare an awareness campaign, organise a listening session or set up the games we play during the monthly quiet drinks.

What makes this internship unique is the opportunity to connect two seemingly different worlds. You'll use data to improve financial insights while also helping create a workplace where different ways of thinking are recognised, valued and supported.

The unique you!

We believe everyone has unique talents, which is why we’re looking for you! Energy, drive and the ambition to grow are what make the difference at HEINEKEN. In addition, you bring:

  • “Do you identify as a nerd (and are proud of it)?” – If yes, good chance that you are a match!
  • But you are more than that, with an interest in diversity, inclusion and employee experience.
  • You do not have to be neurodivergent, but if you are, you will not be alone.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Excel, Power BI, Python, Data bricks and other tools is a plus.

Even if you feel you don’t meet all the criteria, we encourage you to apply. An internship is the perfect opportunity to learn and grow!
