What you are going to do

The NextGen Risk Management programme is the defining transformation programme for the Risk function within NN Group. It aims to build a next-generation Risk function powered by data, technology and AI-driven insights, while maintaining strong foundations of control, compliance and quality.

As Senior Project Manager, you independently lead one or more larger project workstreams within the programme. You translate programme objectives into clear scope, deliverables, milestones and implementation plans, and drive day-to-day execution to deliver the agreed outcomes within scope, budget and time. You bring structure to complex topics, create alignment and make risks, dependencies, options and decisions explicit.

You work closely with subject matter experts, IT, Data, Finance, Group Risk and representatives from the business units. Depending on your workstream, you engage with senior experts, MT members, workstream leads, the Programme Management Team and SteerCo. Your responsibilities include:

  • Independently ensuring the project management of workstreams within NextGen Risk Management, for example related to the target IT and data landscape, SCR or actuarial reporting
  • Translating workstream objectives into clear scope, deliverables, milestones, dependencies and actions for the assigned workstream
  • Identifying, evaluating and managing workstream risks, issues, dependencies and resource constraints, developing solutions where needed and escalating decision needs in a timely manner
  • Coordinating stakeholders across Group Risk, functions and business units, and preparing high-quality management deliverables, options and recommendations for PMT, SteerCo and relevant domain governance
  • Coordinating project team members and junior project management support, reviewing the quality of their output and sharing project management best practices through guidance, coaching and mentoring
