Purpose
As a Modern Digital Workplace Intern, you will support the Modern Digital Workplace team in enabling SBMers to effectively adopt and use digital workplace technologies. You will contribute to initiatives focused on Digital Employee Experience (DEX), Digital Adoption, user engagement, Change Management, and collaboration solutions.
You will play an active role in supporting the team's mission to guide and empower employees in their daily use of Microsoft 365 tools. Working closely with team members, business stakeholders, and end users, you will help improve the Digital Employee Experience, contribute to learning and communication initiatives, and support continuous improvement of Digital Workplace services.
During this internship, you will gain exposure to:
- Microsoft 365 ecosystem and collaboration technologies.
- Change Management and User Adoption methodologies.
- Internal communications and community management.
- SharePoint Online administration and content management.
- Employee enablement and training programs.
- Global IT and business collaboration.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about both people and technology. Rather than focusing solely on technical development, this internship is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding user needs, improving digital experiences, supporting change, and helping colleagues adopt new ways of working.
The successful candidate will be curious, empathetic, digitally savvy, and motivated to make technology more accessible and valuable for employees across a global organization.
Responsibilities
- Support Digital Employee Experience (DEX) and Digital Adoption initiatives aimed at improving how employees use and benefit from Digital Workplace technologies.
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing Modern Digital Workplace communication channels, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint sites, ServiceNow Knowledge Base, learning materials, and user-facing content.
- Help organize, prepare, and publish content related to webinars, awareness campaigns, training sessions, and community engagement activities.
- Support the triage of user requests and inquiries, helping direct employees to the appropriate teams, resources, or solutions.
- Conduct research and gather insights related to user adoption, collaboration technologies, employee experience, and emerging digital workplace trends.
- Contribute to change management and user adoption activities that help employees successfully embrace new digital tools and ways of working.
- Collaborate with team members, business stakeholders, and external consultants in support of global initiatives.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation, reports, presentations, user guides, and other supporting materials.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to improve employee engagement and digital adoption.
Education
The intern should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, preferably in one of the following fields:
- Information Technology
- Business Information Management
- Digital Transformation
- Organizational Psychology
- Communication
- Business Administration
- Human Resources
- Change Management
Students from other academic backgrounds are also encouraged to apply if they demonstrate strong interest in technology, digital innovation, and employee experience.
English proficiency is required.

The Company’s main activities are the design, supply, installation, operation and the life extension of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels. These are either owned and operated by SBM Offshore and leased to its clients or supplied on a turnkey sale basis.
