About the role

As Senior Consultant, Circular Value Chains & Innovation, you’ll work at the intersection of strategy, innovation and implementation. You’ll help businesses, governments and other partners turn their impact ambitions into concrete projects, partnerships, innovations and real-world applications.

At the core of your role is developing and leading circular value chain projects. You’ll also work across two other key areas of our services: international innovation scouting and the development of circular showcases.

1. Circular value chain projects (core of the role)

You initiate, develop and lead projects in which different parties work together to make value chains more sustainable and circular. You are able to connect different interests and constructively challenge organisations to look beyond their own position in the value chain. In this role, you:

• Bring together businesses, SMEs, startups, governments, knowledge institutions and other relevant stakeholders and guide them through collaborative projects
• Identify opportunities and barriers within circular value chains and translate them into concrete project proposals, business cases, pilots and partnerships
• Facilitate workshops, co-creation sessions and strategic meetings
• Provide strong project leadership, establish clear agreements and maintain active partner engagement
• Work with partners and colleagues to curate concepts and programming for showcases focused on circular materials and innovations.

2. International innovation projects

Together with the team, you explore which startups, innovations, technologies and business models from around the world are relevant to the circular transition and translate these insights into concrete opportunities and partnerships. You draw on our international Impact Hub network and contribute to developing tools and approaches that help us make better use of this network. In this role, you:

• Research and monitor international trends, startups, technologies and innovative business models through desk research, market exploration and interviews with innovators and entrepreneurs.
• Identify promising solutions to specific challenges faced by our partners. You assess innovations for relevance, impact, scalability and applicability
• Collaborate with international Impact Hubs and other ecosystems to identify relevant innovations. You translate international insights into clear recommendations and concrete innovation opportunities

Who you are

This is a senior role for someone who can think strategically and enjoys making things happen.

• You move easily between strategy and execution, and between clients, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders.
• You strengthen relationships with existing and new partners and translate societal and market developments into new projects and propositions for Impact Hub.
• You report to the management team and actively contribute to the further development of our expertise, business development, services and partnerships.

Who we’re looking for

You are a strategic, entrepreneurial and experienced consultant or innovation specialist with a strong affinity for the circular economy. You feel at home in complex ecosystems and get energy from connecting people, organisations and ideas.

You recognise yourself in the following:

• You have around 7 years of relevant professional experience in consulting, innovation, the circular economy, sustainability strategy, business development or a comparable field
• You have demonstrable experience developing and managing complex multi-stakeholder projects or programmes
• You have experience with circular value chains, sustainable supply chains, circular business models or related topics
• You can formulate a clear point of view and constructively challenge organisations on their sustainability and innovation strategies
• You have an entrepreneurial approach to your work and naturally take ownership of results. You can set priorities independently and manage multiple projects at the same time
• You have experience with business development, account management or proposition development
• You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English

What we offer

• A one-year contract for approximately 32 hours per week, with the possibility of a permanent contract
• A gross monthly salary of €4,750–€5,250 based on a 40-hour working week, plus 8% holiday allowance and a 4% pension contribution
