As Manager NFR Intelligence, your main objective is to strengthen the position of our sourcing community with fact-based analysis and actionable insights in order to drive savings delivery. Your strengths lie in preparing detailed datasets through strong market analysis and advising on business decisions. In this role, you drive, enable and manage strategic decision-making for category teams and stakeholders in Europe, based on fact-based analysis and actionable insights. With this information, the team is able to improve current services.

Your new work environment
Not for Resale sourcing (NfR) is organized to optimally leverage Ahold Delhaize’s footprint in Europe and drive Ahold Delhaize’s save-4-our customer programs. Sourcing managers in Europe work together in cross-border category teams to run European and local sourcing events. The Procurement Excellence & Sustainability team is a staff function within NFR sourcing that:
- Shapes the NFR department to unlock full European potential;
- Equips the sourcing community with actionable insights to drive savings delivery;
- Engages with suppliers to improve their ESG performance.
Every year the European NFR management team creates a list of strategic initiatives in different workstreams. The PES team is responsible for the successful delivery of most of the projects on this strategic roadmap.
As Manager NFR Intelligence, you report to the Director NFR Procurement Excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. As Manager NFR Intelligence, you will identify innovations within the procurement market, consult on your findings in close cooperation with category managers, and optimize end-to-end lifecycle processes.
Your key tasks include:
Market and supplier Intelligence
- Analyze market trends, commodity and labor prices, innovations and sustainability topics within selected categories, and generate insights and advisory reports;
- Identify and manage external data and insights from service providers, perform demand management for research requests, translate intelligence questions into analytics briefings, ensure research outcomes match insight requirements, and summarize and translate these into actionable insights with appropriate follow-up;
- Perform supplier discovery, including supplier identification, supplier profiling, benchmarking, market share analysis and SWOT analysis, and liaise with buying alliances.
Value Chain analysis
- Manage the development of a Value Chain database, actively contribute to Value Chain Analysis (VCA), and manage VCA progress across category teams;
- Map relevant value chains within the category, perform activity analysis across tier 1, tier 2, tier 3 and beyond, and identify relevant cost drivers;
- Perform opportunity identification assessments, analyze the regulatory environment, and conduct internal and external benchmarks to assess costs, ways of working and various sourcing models.
Should Cost modelling
- Develop, update and maintain a Should Cost Model database, investigating current prices versus original ones.
Knowledge management
- Manage knowledge resources and assets by developing, updating and maintaining the Impact Dashboard and other self-service tooling and reports in Power BI;
- Foster optimal deployment of analytics capabilities by stakeholders, including coaching and training;
- Create consensus and acceptance of actionable insight proposals and create and maintain a specification library for selected categories.

The ingredients you bring
Everyone brings their unique flavor. We believe this role comes to life when you bring the following experience:
- A master’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Data Analytics, Finance or Business Administration;
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience, with experience in the analytics domain and/or consultancy considered a plus;
- Experience in a complex multifunctional environment, with the ability to take ownership and work independently with some supervision from your manager;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in fluent English and preferably Dutch.
In addition to these hard skills, strong analytical ability, data visualization and storytelling skills, the ability to influence and drive decision-making, and a proactive mindset are important for success in this role.
