Introductie

Keeping the Netherlands powered, that is our mission.

As a Grid Planning and Analysing Specialist, you help ensure that the electricity system remains secure, stable and future-proof. You provide specialised knowledge and skills in a specific area of expertise to drive innovation and support successful execution of projects, initiatives, innovations and/or daily operations.

Furthermore you identify the frameworks and guidelines that apply to your specific area of expertise, translate them into a business context to enable business results, and provide guidance to ensure efficiency and compliancy. By doing this you contribute to a stable, future-proof and affordable energy system.

Jouw rol

The energy transition demands smart and decisive professionals. Within the Data Tools & Models Team, we work every day on ensuring that TenneT's grid models remain accurate, reliable and future-ready, enabling sound planning and operation of the Dutch electricity system. Do you want to contribute directly to a reliable, affordable and sustainable energy system as a Grid Planning and Analysing Specialist – Grid Model Management (GMM)?

At TenneT, the grid model is at the heart of almost every planning and design activity. It is used for everything from load flow calculations and network planning studies to harmonic and EMT analyses. As the electricity system becomes increasingly complex, maintaining a high-quality and centrally managed grid model is more important than ever. As a Grid Planning and Analysing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, governance and further development of these models.

Your Contribution to TenneT

How do you help keep the Netherlands powered? As a Systems & Markets Specialist – Grid Model Management, you are responsible for the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of TenneT's grid models and associated data sets, enabling high-quality analyses and decision-making across the organisation.

You will become part of the Grid Model Management (GMM) team, a team of approximately 6 specialists within the Data Tools & Models Team in the Design division.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop TenneT’s core high-voltage grid model and derived network models for national and European power system analyses.
  • Manage model changes, data quality, and information requests to ensure accurate and reliable modelling data.
  • Continuously improve network models and underlying datasets through analysis, research, and innovation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment, consistency, and quality across network models.
  • Represent TenneT in national and European modelling and data management activities, including ENTSO-E working groups.
  • Share expertise, support colleagues with modelling and software-related challenges, and contribute to the development of a centrally managed, company-wide grid model.

Waar kom je terecht

Design translates TenneT’s strategy into a future-proof vision of the energy system. Colleagues within this division have a front-row view of today’s energy system and especially of tomorrow’s. Design provides direction for system choices, designs the foundation of the energy system of the future, and creates room for faster implementation. In close alignment with our customers and public stakeholders, Design determines what is needed in the long term to ensure security of supply and system integrity.
