Help us make Sherpa AI-native from the inside

At Sherpa, we help companies make AI a real part of how they work. Now, we want to take the same step internally.

Many of our operations — from finance and invoicing to CRM, HR and reporting — work well, but still contain too many manual steps. We believe a large part of this can now be done differently.

That’s why we’re looking for an AI Automation Intern who will help us actually build this over the next 5–6 months.

Your project

You’ll dive into our existing processes and keep coming back to one central question:

How can we make this smarter, simpler and as automated as possible using AI?

Then you’ll build it.

You’ll work with modern AI tools such as Claude Cowork and other AI and automation tooling to, for example:

• automate recurring administrative tasks;
• automatically collect, process and prepare information;
• make workflows between our existing systems smarter;
• build and test AI agents and automations;
• turn successful solutions into a real part of our day-to-day operations.

You’ll work closely with our Business Operations Lead and founder. They know the processes; you’ll help build a smarter way of running them.

So we’re not looking for an intern who only analyses processes and delivers a report at the end. After six months, we want to be able to point to what you’ve actually built — and show which work no longer needs to be done manually as a result.

Who are we looking for?

You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and:

• are highly enthusiastic about AI and automation;
• enjoy experimenting with and building things using new AI tools;
• are technically minded, without necessarily being a developer;
• pick up new systems quickly;
• are independent, curious and enjoy working at a fast pace;
• speak English well. Dutch is a plus.

Experience with Claude, ChatGPT, n8n, Make, Zapier, APIs or similar tools is a plus. Even more interesting to us is what you’ve already tried or built yourself.

Practical

5–6 months · 32–40 hours per week · at least 3 days a week at our Amsterdam office · start as soon as possible · internship allowance of €500 per month
