Corporate Customs & Excise Manager supports the Corporate Tax function by providing practical, high-quality customs and excise advice to markets, factories, and business functions across countries and regions. In this role you will help stakeholders understand and address customs and excise requirements, monitor regulatory developments, support compliance and risk mitigation initiatives, identify opportunities for sustainable savings and operational improvements, and promote consistent governance and best practices across the organization.

Position

In this role you will:

  • Provide customs and excise advice to markets, factories, and business functions across regions
  • Partner with stakeholders across supply chain, finance, legal, operations, and IT to support business objectives
  • Monitor customs and excise legislation, trade agreements, and regulatory developments and assess business impact
  • Support audits, disputes, and interactions with customs and excise authorities
  • Identify duty and excise savings opportunities and drive operational improvements
  • Enhance customs and excise governance, controls, processes, and data quality
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and share best practices across regions through guidance and training

Requirements

  • University degree in law, tax, economics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of customs and excise experience in a multinational company, consulting environment, or law firm
  • Strong knowledge of customs and excise areas, including classification, valuation, origin, and trade agreements
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across countries and functions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for business audiences
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Fluent English, any additional language is an advantage
  • Experience with data, automation, or emerging technologies is an advantage
