Role profile
The LAB Performance Insights Manager is part of the London, Amsterdam and Brussels (LAB) Associate to Consultant (A-C) Performance Team, reporting to the LAB Performance Director and working closely with the LAB PA Performance Partner Director and LAB Ringfence Performance Partner Director. Responsible for turning data for all LAB-wide cohorts into clear insights and coordinated action, this role monitors key metrics including billability, utilisation and cross-office staffing rates, identifying emerging trends and risks, and working with the LAB Performance Director to determine appropriate recommendations and coordinate actions. This role also leads strategic projects and provides broad execution leverage to the LAB Talent & Performance Senior Director, helping to ensure agreed priorities move from idea through to effective implementation across the wider team. This includes driving process improvements and provides execution and communications support on projects.
What you’ll do
- Own LAB-wide performance team reporting and insights. Source and analyse data by building and continuously improving dashboards and giving leadership a clear view of billability, capacity, cross-office staffing and other priority measures.
- Across all cohorts identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities for action, developing recommendations and coordinating appropriate measures with leadership.
- Present at regular team retrospectives, using data to highlight trends, successes and areas requiring action, partnering with and enabling the LAB Performance Director to drive team accountability and improvement.
- Lead strategic projects from planning through implementation, securing leadership input and alignment at key decision points.
- Strengthen team ways of working by mapping existing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing practical recommendations that make delivery simpler, more consistent and scalable.
- Develop clear, engaging communications to support the roll-out of change initiatives, including leadership updates, team communications and materials that build awareness and adoption of new processes, systems and ways of working.
- Advance how the team uses data and technology, leading ad hoc data initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation, championing AI optimisation, and working with Regional and Global colleagues to shape and adopt new tools and initiatives impacting LAB.
- Provide informal mentorship and capability building across the People Team, sharing expertise, upskilling colleagues in data, tools and ways of working, and supporting junior team members to build confidence and judgement.
You’re good at
- Highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities at pace and respond effectively to changing needs.
- An analytical and inquisitive mindset, able to interpret data, spot patterns, identify root causes and shape these insights into actions.
- Sound judgement and independent critical thinking, with strong project management skills and the ability to structure, coordinate and drive projects from planning through to delivery.
- An excellent communicator, with the ability to adapt messaging effectively for multiple audiences and levels of seniority.
- A collaborative and supportive approach to developing others, sharing knowledge and mentoring junior team members to build confidence and judgement.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience including ideally in an international professional services firm.
- Highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and advanced numerate.
- Advanced analytical skills, with experience identifying trends, risks and insights from complex datasets and translating these into recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Excellent English skills (verbal and written communication).
