Are you an experienced Civil 3D Modeller who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and transforming engineering concepts into high-quality 3D models? The position
As a Medior Civil 3D Modeller, you will be part of our Engineering & Estimating department, supporting tender and project teams in the design and modelling of civil engineering solutions. You will be responsible for developing accurate 3D models and technical designs that contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects.
You are comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your work. With your technical expertise, you translate design requirements into practical and efficient modelling solutions. In addition, you support and guide less experienced colleagues in their day-to-day activities and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Your impact
In this role, you work closely with engineers, designers, and specialists in the Netherlands and abroad. You play an important role in delivering reliable, high-quality models and designs for challenging maritime and civil engineering projects.
Based in Rotterdam, you will be part of the Infra Land product line and contribute to projects such as dyke reinforcement, hydraulic engineering works, and other infrastructure developments.
Your responsibilities include:
- Setting up, developing, and managing Civil 3D models for tenders and projects.
- Producing high-quality 3D models, designs, and technical drawings, conform NLCS.
- Working with Civil 3D functionalities such as surfaces, corridors, profiles, grading, and sections.
- Translating design requirements into practical and executable modelling solutions.
- Identifying opportunities to improve and optimize designs and modelling workflows.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary project teams and technical specialists.
- Supporting and coaching junior colleagues on technical topics and daily project activities.
Your working environment
You will become part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers and modellers within an international project environment. From Rotterdam, you will work on challenging dyke reinforcement projects and support the product line Infra Land.
Within the team, collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing are central. You will have plenty of opportunities to take initiative, support colleagues, and contribute to the further digitalization of our design and engineering processes.
About you
You are a technically skilled professional who enjoys working independently and taking responsibility for the quality of your work. You are proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of translating complex engineering challenges into practical modelling solutions.
In addition, you bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
- Between 5 and 7 years of relevant experience as a Civil 3D Modeller, Civil 3D Engineer, Civil Designer, or in a similar role.
- Proven experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Experience with surfaces, corridors, profiles, grading, sections, and other Civil 3D functionalities.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with a keen eye for quality and detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to support less experienced colleagues.
- Fluency in Dutch, both spoken and written, and a good command of English.
- Experience in hydraulic engineering, maritime, or infrastructure projects is considered a strong advantage.
