As a Student assistant for help with RAD-blog page, you will help increase the visibility and societal impact of the SAF lab (Substance Use, Addiction & Food) at the Behavioural Science Institute. You will work on our RAD-blog, where we make scientific research on smoking, alcohol, drugs, food and addictive behaviours accessible to a broad audience.

Responsibilities

Your main task will be to review and replace images in existing blogs and sci-fly’s to ensure that they comply with copyright regulations. You will also help set up an Instagram account for RAD-blog and increase its reach among relevant audiences. Depending on the available time, you may also contribute to improving the website, for example by adding metadata and topic tags, translating older blogs (if good command of both Dutch and English), and improving the website’s search engine optimisation (SEO).

What we expect from you

• You are an enthusiastic and independent student at Radboud University.
• You are interested in science communication, social media and/or scientific research.
• You work accurately and have an eye for detail, particularly when checking copyright and online content.
• You are digitally skilled and interested in websites and social media.
• You are able to work independently while also communicating effectively with researchers.
• Experience with Instagram, website management or SEO is an advantage, but not required.
• You have a good command of Dutch and/or English; proficiency in both is an advantage.

Notes about the conditions of employment

Salary scale SA: minimum of €19,58 euro gross per hour (excl. holiday allowance, holiday money, public holidays and end-of-year bonus). You’ll work approximately 8 hours per week (100 hours in total) from 1 October – 31 December, with flexible working hours that can be arranged according to your own schedule.
