Een dag uit het leven
The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as financial consultant to the Surgical R&D team located in Geleen, Netherlands (Articulating Technologies) and partner with Robotics R&D; collaborating with business leaders in driving performance and ensuring execution of the appropriate business strategies through the management of business process. We are looking for someone who will support the relationship with New Product Development and Operations stakeholders, who will build and maintain a trusted partnership with the business, and who will be a voice for the finance organization. This role hinges upon the transparency of communication and partnership, the accuracy of the data and the accountability to deliver results month after month. In this position you will report to the Director of Finance (R&D) and work closely with the US-based Surgical Finance team supporting global business partners, and corporate teams to complete month-end financial activities, financial planning initiatives and other important business analytics. The key responsibilities of this role include collaborating with new product development project teams to drive financial execution and provide financial visibility to senior leadership.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Manage fiduciary responsibilities for the Articulating Technologies Center of Excellence and Fortimedix Site including accurate and timely month/quarter-end financial reporting and presentation to both financial and non-financial leaders
- Assist with quarterly performance and investment metrics including Monthly Finance Review (MFR) presentations
- Support CAPEX forecasting and tracking and develop financial analysis to drive the performance of the business and execute strategic and tactical business decisions and support the preparation and analysis of the Annual Operating Plan, Forecasts and Long-term Strategic Plans; confirming portfolio and functions are optimized and all targets are met
- Explain variances between actual results versus prior year /AOP / forecast and make recommendations for future actions, including LBE
- Collaborating with the Project Management Office and project leads providing financial guidance and budgetary support
- Support the development of Power BI Dashboards for Surgical R&D reporting and identify and implement technical and/or functional opportunities to improve processes, operational efficiency and reporting
- Ensure Corporate and Statutory submissions for all processes are conducted in a timely manner.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Broad finance background that includes financial planning and analysis, accounting, finance, internal management reporting systems, budgeting, acquisition and investment analysis and financial modelling combined with cost accounting and manufacturing experience
- High degree of analytical ability and attention to detail, project accounting experience and excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- Expert in Excel including Pivot Tables, V-Lookup and Data manipulation and knowledge of SAP and Exact Globe
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and the proven experience translating financial data into meaningful, concise information
- Ability to develop solutions and/or innovative ideas to problems and ensure that solutions are consistent with the organization’s objectives
- Knowledge of investment decision metrics (NPV, IRR, DPP) is considered an advantage for this role.
