About this role
Job purpose
The CRM Product Owner is accountable for maximising the business value delivered through CRM. The role connects local and regional commercial teams with the external delivery team, owns the CRM roadmap and backlog, and ensures that solutions are designed around effective sales processes and real user needs. Success means not only delivering CRM capabilities, but also achieving strong adoption, collecting bottom-up feedback, and continuously prioritising the improvements that matter most to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and communicate the CRM product vision, value proposition, strategy and roadmap, aligned with commercial priorities.
- Act as the primary business counterpart for the external delivery team, setting clear priorities, clarifying requirements, removing blockers and holding delivery partners accountable for quality and outcomes.
- Coordinate and enable regional CRM specialists, creating a consistent way of working while incorporating relevant regional and local requirements.
- Build strong relationships with local Sales, Customer Service and commercial leadership teams to understand pain points, opportunities and practical ways of working.
- Create structured bottom-up feedback loops through workshops, user interviews, usage data and regional forums; translate feedback into clear themes and decisions.
- Own, prioritise and maintain the CRM backlog across epics, features and user stories, balancing business value, adoption impact, effort, dependencies and risk.
- Design and continuously improve end-to-end CRM-enabled sales processes, including account and contact management, visit reporting, lead and opportunity management, pipeline management and forecasting.
- Translate business and process needs into clear user stories, process designs, acceptance criteria and release priorities for technical delivery teams.
- Lead agile planning, refinement, reviews and release readiness; validate delivered functionality and sign off when agreed business and quality criteria are met.
- Drive change, communication, training and local activation so that new capabilities are understood, used consistently and embedded in day-to-day commercial routines.
- Monitor adoption, process compliance, user experience, data quality and business impact; use insights to define corrective actions and the next priorities.
- Ensure a coherent, scalable CRM design that balances global standards with justified local needs and avoids unnecessary customisation.
