For our Head Office in Rotterdam, we are looking for a Tax Manager. The Tax Manager will be part of the Global Tax team currently consisting of five professionals, all based in the headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We are seeking a proactive and ambitious Tax Manager who thrives in an international and fast-paced setting where you will have the opportunity to take ownership of a diverse range of projects that directly impact IMCD’s global operations. The role offers a broad mix of advisory, operational, and project-driven responsibilities.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate is a motivated tax professional, looking to develop further within a listed and fast-growing company. You are technically strong, have a broad understanding of corporate income tax matters, are pragmatic, and enjoy a role where you alternate between hands-on tax work and strategic tax thinking.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day tax affairs of subsidiaries of the IMCD Group, like analyzing new tax legislation, communication with external tax consultants, managing tax audits and inquiries, and supporting tax compliance obligations;
  • Drive and cooperate in a wide variety of projects;
  • Digitalization of internal tax reporting;
  • Implementation of (international) compliance regulations in IMCD’s tax control framework;
  • Mergers & acquisitions, acquisition structuring and integrations;
  • Provide high quality (inter)national tax advice and support to the business;
  • Design, implement and maintain transfer pricing policies and documentation;
  • Actively cooperate with other (legal, finance and IT) departments;
  • Lead relationships with external advisors, define tax technical requirements and ensure appropriate advice is provided;
  • Review fiscal financial consolidations and calculate current tax positions and deferred tax assets and liabilities;
  • Communicate with tax authorities and support tax controversy matters.

Required qualifications and skills

  • A Dutch master’s degree in tax law or tax economics;
  • Approximately 6 to 8 years relevant working experience;
  • Broad experience with (international) corporate tax;
  • Familiarity with tax accounting and reporting as well as transfer pricing, or willingness to develop in these fields;
  • The proven ability and will to proactively drive tax projects;
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills and affinity with Excel;
  • Eager to learn and develop as a professional and open to learn from others;
  • You are a team player with excellent communication skills;
  • Fluent in both in Dutch and English.
