About the assignment

OpenUp is looking for entrepreneurial, purpose-driven experts who share the vision of making mental well-being direct, approachable, and impactful.

At OpenUp, the focus is on prevention. There is no diagnosing; instead, the role provides guidance for everyday challenges such as work-related stress, self-confidence, relationship dynamics, or finding direction in uncertain times.

Planned and on-demand video consults are offered seven days a week, ensuring people can access support when they need it most. In each session, usually 25 minutes, you will help clients set clear, actionable goals and guide them toward meaningful first steps.

The mission is to help people build skills and autonomy so they feel confident continuing their journey independently. Many clients gain what they need in just a few focused conversations through structured, goal-oriented support.

You will engage with a wide variety of people from diverse cultural backgrounds and industries, with opportunities to grow through weekly intervision sessions and ongoing development.

About you

You’re a psychologist (MSc) who’s passionate about making a difference both locally and internationally. You enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to a meaningful mission.

We welcome experts who meet the following criteria:

• You have native-level fluency in Dutch.
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken, and confidence in delivering consultations in English.
• Master's degree in Psychology.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience providing 1:1 consultations after obtaining a Master’s degree in Psychology.
• Solid knowledge of solution-focused therapy, ACT, and/or CBT.
• Tech-savvy, with a self-reliant approach to digital platforms and systems.
• You have a laptop/computer with Windows 11, or MacOS Sonoma 14, and antivirus turned on.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and open to continuous learning.
• A team player who thrives independently and takes ownership of personal and professional growth.
• A natural connector who creates a safe, supportive space for clients and acts decisively to help them move forward.
• You live the "practice what you preach" mindset, showing integrity and reflection in how you approach both clients and colleagues.

Freelance experience is a plus, as OpenUp values self-starters who are confident in managing their own practice.
