For our Boxmeer site, we are looking for a Senior Specialist - SAP Integration Engineer.

As a Senior Specialist - SAP Integration Engineer, you will work closely with a diverse global network including SAP Basis, Security, ABAP, SAP functional teams, Infrastructure, and other IT process partners. You will also collaborate with and advise the SAP Technical Architect on architectural topics and new technologies.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of cross-functional initiatives, serving as a trusted advisor on complex technical topics and helping shape the success of strategic programs across the organization.

We are currently undergoing an exciting digital transformation, modernizing our technology landscape through the adoption of SAP cloud solutions and next-generation infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in both delivering hands-on technical solutions and driving key integration initiatives.

As a Senior Specialist - SAP Integration Engineer, you will connect systems, processes and data across our enterprise landscape. Using SAP BTP and related middleware platforms, you will build innovative integration solutions that are scalable, secure and resilient, helping to power the future of our business.

Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Design and implement integration solutions using SAP BTP and iPaaS capabilities;
  • Administrate, monitor and migrate legacy PI interfaces to SAP Cloud Integration;
  • Develop and optimize interfaces for real-time and batch integration across SAP and non-SAP systems;
  • Leverage SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration, Trading Partner Management, API Management, and Edge Integration Cell, to build robust and scalable integration solutions;
  • Implement event driven architectures using SAP Event Mesh or other event streaming technologies;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, architects, and developers, to gather and analyze integration requirements;
  • Translate business needs into technical designs and integration workflows;
  • Ensure integrations comply with organizational security standards, regulatory guidelines such as GxP, HIPAA, and SOX, and industry best practices;
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration processes to ensure performance, uptime, and data accuracy;
  • Conduct regular health checks and implement proactive measures for continuous improvement in cooperation with the support organization;
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for integration processes, configurations, and best practices;
  • Act as a subject matter expert and be a leader in the space;
  • Advocate for process automation and digital transformation initiatives within the organization.

Your profile

  • At least 5-7 years of hands-on SAP experience with PI/PO and SAP Integration Suite;
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required;
  • Strong experience building integrations between SAP ECC/S/4HANA and non-SAP applications;
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns and authentication protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and SAML;
  • Proficiency with JSON, Java, XML, XSLT, OData, REST, JDBC (SQL), and Groovy Script;
  • Experience with SAP Event Mesh and familiarity with BTP Extension Suite or SAP CAP;
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and SAP Cloud ALM;
  • Strong analytical and Java-based troubleshooting skills for PI systems;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
