Gwynt is a consulting firm for larger entrepreneurial family businesses in retail, wholesale, food, logistics, and manufacturing. The firm combines expertise in strategy, processes, content, and project management with behavior, management, and change management, with a pragmatic focus on achieving results.

Your role at Gwynt

As a Senior Business Associate – Logistics & Supply Chain, you will have a leading role in strategic projects within the logistics industry. You will work for logistics service providers, transportation companies, fulfillment parties, and large-scale distribution and warehouse operations. The emphasis is on complex supply chain, operations, and network issues, as well as guiding major transformation projects.

You combine market knowledge with content expertise and change power and advise and guide clients in the areas of Strategy, Innovation and Transformation. You understand the people side of change and know how to give it the right attention.

Topics you will help develop with clients include network design, S&OP, inventory management, transport efficiency, warehouse orientation, automation, mechanization, and digitalization such as WMS/TMS, robotics, and AI. In this, you are an excellent sounding board for the customer.

In addition, you play an important role in developing new propositions within the logistics sector. With your network within logistics and supply chain, you work together with the commercial team to determine focus areas and capitalize on growth opportunities.

  • You lead major change programs at logistics organizations, often starting with a quick scan in which you make pragmatic analyses and connect with employees on the floor.
  • You develop and implement a tailor-made improvement program, which you execute for 9–12 months in close collaboration with management and operations.
  • You switch effortlessly between warehouse or crossdock and the boardroom: one day you observe processes on site, the next day you spar with management about strategic choices.
  • You lead complex projects independently, including project, program, and change management.
  • You build strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted advisor, making an impact both substantively and people-focused.

A Senior Business Associate also actively participates in the further growth of Gwynt. With your vision, network, and enthusiasm, you help develop relationships with existing and new customers.

In summary, we are looking for someone with:

Experience & expertise:

  • Minimum 5–8 years of working experience in supply chain or logistics operations at strategic and/or tactical level.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex change or improvement projects at the strategic level.
  • Knowledge of and interest in logistics automation, mechanization, robotics, and AI applications.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, and team development.

Personal & professional:

  • Academic-level education, preferably in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, econometrics, engineering, or technical business administration.
  • Consulting experience is a plus; motivation to develop consulting skills is a must.
  • A professional attitude and excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; another modern language is a plus.
  • The ability to position yourself strongly, create movement, deal with resistance, and work in service of the team.
  • A commercial drive and energy to create opportunities with potential clients; experience in this is an advantage.
  • You bring a relevant network.
