Learning & Development Specialist

At Mediq, we are looking for a Senior Learning & Capability Specialist who will help strengthen capabilities across our organisation and create learning experiences that support both business performance and meaningful development.

In this role, you work across business units, with a strong focus on the Benelux organisation. You partner with business leaders, HR, operational teams, facilitators and subject-matter experts to identify capability needs and translate them into scalable, practical and impactful learning solutions.

You advise stakeholders on the right learning approach, design programmes that can be scaled across teams and business units, and ensure that learning initiatives deliver measurable impact.

You combine strategic thinking with execution. Depending on the need, you may design a learning journey, coordinate an external partner, advise on digital learning solutions, facilitate a session yourself or help leaders translate a capability challenge into a concrete development roadmap.

What will you do?

You will take ownership of learning and capability initiatives from initial analysis through design, implementation and evaluation.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Translating business priorities and capability needs into clear and effective learning approaches.
• Designing scalable learning solutions using strong instructional design principles.
• Leading learning initiatives from needs analysis through implementation and evaluation.
• Advising stakeholders on learning design, authoring tools, learning platforms and delivery methods.
• Building capability roadmaps that connect organisational priorities with practical development interventions.
• Partnering with business leaders, HR, operational teams, facilitators and subject-matter experts.
• Managing external learning providers and safeguarding the quality and consistency of delivery.
• Coordinating learning budgets, tools and external partners across Benelux and the wider organisation.
• Using learning data, evaluation outcomes and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve learning impact.
• Supporting digital, blended and workplace learning solutions that fit different audiences and business needs.
• Facilitating learning interventions when this adds value and adapting your approach to different groups and contexts.
• Contributing to a stronger learning culture by helping teams and leaders take ownership of continuous development.

What do you bring?

You are an experienced learning professional who combines subject-matter expertise with strong stakeholder management. You understand how adults learn, but just as importantly, you understand how to connect learning to business performance.

You are comfortable advising senior stakeholders, managing multiple initiatives at the same time and moving between strategic conversations and practical delivery.

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Advanced expertise in learning-needs analysis and instructional design.
• Strong programme and project-management capabilities.
• The ability to translate business priorities into clear capability roadmaps and scalable learning solutions.
• Strong consultative stakeholder-management and business-partnering skills.
• Experience with digital, blended and workplace learning approaches.
• Confidence working with learning technologies, learning platforms and authoring tools.
• The ability to define learning outcomes, success measures and translate evaluation into actionable insights.
• Experience delivering complex learning programmes across functions, countries and/or business units.
• Experience managing external learning providers and multidisciplinary stakeholder groups.
• Practical facilitation experience and the ability to adapt learning methods to different audiences.
• A strong interest in continuous learning, innovation and measurable organisational impact.
• Professional working proficiency in both Dutch and English at B2 level or higher.
