Senior Production Engineer

Boskalis is renowned for its leading and innovative projects, and in this role you will play a key part in their success. A great example is the Manila International Airport land reclamation project. Within this project, Boskalis developed approximately 1,700 hectares of land using large dredging vessels to build a resilient foundation for the new international airport. You are responsible for calculating and analyzing the most effective deployment of dredging equipment, ensuring that production performance on projects is optimized.

Your responsibilities as senior production engineer

• Preparing production budgets and estimates for dredging works during the tender phase.
• Coordinating the tender process in collaboration with the business units.
• Supervising, coaching, and training junior Production Engineers.
• Advising on modifications to existing dredging equipment and the construction of new dredging vessels and equipment.
• Actively monitoring production processes and work methodologies on projects under execution, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
• Transferring knowledge gained during the tender phase to the project team and crew once a project enters the execution phase.
• Visiting projects and providing recommendations to optimize the dredging operations of the dredging fleet.
• Documenting and further developing dredging engineering expertise for future tenders.
• Providing technical and operational advice to projects during the tender phase.

Your quality and experience

You can move ahead in this role if you have:

• Several years of experience in a similar role and hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering.
• Strong analytical skills and interpreting and processing large amounts of data comes naturally to you.
• You work effectively as part of a team, while also being capable of working independently.
• A curious, investigative, creative, and flexible mindset.
• Eagerness to develop into an all-round Production Specialist, while the Production Department also serves as a talent pool for other interesting career opportunities within Boskalis.

Extra information

• Your team: You will join a team of 40 enthusiastic production and soil engineers. You will report to the Manager of the Dredging Department.
• Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office. Occasional travel to project sites may be required, but this will always be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
