Senior IT Delivery Manager – Infra Industry (Experienced)

At Valcon, we are looking for a seasoned IT Delivery Manager with extensive experience in the Infra Industry (Grid operators, Rail, Water, Aviation).

Valcon supports a large number of Infra customers with the IT transformation of their mission critical IT landscapes. In order to shape, drive and monitor these implementations we need highly skilled delivery managers with deep infra industry expertise and extensive IT experience.

What will you do?

As a Delivery Lead within our IT Project & Delivery Management capability, you contribute to the success of Valcon’s projects with our clients. You take responsibility for the quality of our work, and organize, lead and monitor projects of individuals and the coherence of those projects. Moreover, you are business-savvy and able to communicate throughout all levels of our client’s organization. Together with project teams, you realize impressive IT solutions such as mobile business applications, workflow systems, robots and reports.

Among your responsibilities will be the following:

• Advising on and delivery of applications of modern IT technologies in process improvements.
• Defining processes and retrieving specifications of new IT solutions.
• Designing and developing an application, reporting tool, data warehouse or robot with one of the leading methodologies.
• Validation of the quality of the solution through demos, testing and end-user acceptance.
• Continuous coordination with clients and end-users about the semi-finished product and the end product.
• Liaising with C-level and steering groups in the aim of a smooth delivery of Valcon’s projects.
• A leading functional role in timely delivery of projects concerning UI/UX, architecture, integrations, testing or project management and guiding consultants.

Experience

• A completed Bachelor’s and Master’s degree with a technical or numerical component.
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience in consultancy.
• Deep knowledge of Infra Industry (Grid operators, Rail, Water, Aviation) and processes.
• Extensive experience with IT implementations.
• At least 5 years of experience as a delivery lead in a project environment.
• Strong personality; you are able to maintain your view while managing difficult stakeholders.
• Commercial expertise; experience in building and maintaining customer relationships.
• You’re fluent in Dutch and English.
