Thermal systems engineer

DEMCON kryoz is active in fields ranging from Big Science projects to medical applications, including coolers for space satellites and cryogenics for electron microscopes. We are looking for a junior Thermal Systems Engineer to join the team and lead the design and development of thermal solutions in projects and products.

Do you like to work on complex and above all unique projects in order to come up with the latest technological solutions and developments? Then this could be the job for you.

What are you going to do?

As a Thermal Systems Engineer, together with a team of other engineers, you are responsible for designing, implementing, testing and improving the thermal/mechanical aspects of a high-tech device.

Some concrete examples of such systems are:

• a thermal management and control system for space satellites;
• cryocoolers for high-resolution microscopes;
• a high-power cooler for defense applications.

You will start at Demcon kryoz as a junior where, under supervision, you will be given specific tasks to model, analyze, realize and/or test parts of the system in the cryogenic test-laboratory environment.

What do you bring to the table?

• Completed technical HBO or WO education;
• Experience with high-tech product development;
• Affinity with hardware development;
• Energetic, goal-oriented and a hands-on mentality;
• Command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing.
