As a Senior Asset Strategist Physical Security, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving asset management strategies within the field of physical security, ensuring that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.

• You act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders in the field of physical security asset management, ensuring that strategic decisions are based on up-to-date expertise, risk insights, and organizational objectives.
• You develop, assess, and implement frameworks, guidelines, processes, and asset strategies for physical security assets, ensuring that performance is safeguarded throughout the entire asset lifecycle.
• You analyze asset data, performance, and developments within the field and translate insights into improvement initiatives, ensuring that assets are managed more efficiently, reliably, and sustainably for the future.
• You represent the physical security discipline within TenneT and ensure the correct application of specialist knowledge, guaranteeing compliance with uniform standards, regulations, and best practices.
• You coordinate with fellow specialists and facilitate knowledge sharing within the discipline, ensuring that solutions, initiatives, and projects are effectively realized.
• You evaluate and optimize asset management processes, methodologies, and ways of working related to physical security, ensuring improved performance, reduced costs, and sustainable results.

Our Challenge

Asset Management ensures that TenneT has a sustainable and future-proof asset portfolio. Thanks to our technical expertise in asset management, we are able to facilitate the energy transition. Together with approximately 30 colleagues within the Asset Strategy team, you ensure that TenneT’s onshore high-voltage grid is maintained optimally and that potential risks are identified in a timely manner and effectively mitigated. Our innovative and data-driven approach promotes security of supply and supports the energy transition.

Experience & Requirements

• A completed Master's degree (WO level) in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in asset management and/or physical security.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and translate them into strategic asset management solutions.
• Experience in developing and implementing guidelines, frameworks, processes, and improvement initiatives within a technical or asset-intensive environment.
• Professional proficiency in English, including the ability to prepare high-quality advisory documents.
• Proficiency in Dutch is not required.

Screening

An AIVD-B security screening is part of the recruitment process. To qualify, you must:

• Have held a valid Dutch or EU/EEA identity document for at least 8 years.
• Have resided continuously within the EU/EEA for at least 8 years.

• A permanent contract with a trial period of 2 months, based on 32 - 40 hours per week.
• A base salary (including 8% holiday allowance) in scale 18 and an allowance of 12% of the total yearly salary. Job grading of the salary is based on education, experience, knowledge and internal equity.
• A solid pension via ABP: we pay 70% of your premium.
• 30 vacation days per year.
