What is Welcome app?

Imagine: you are trying to build a new life in a foreign country – from scratch. Where do you start? Information is not easily accessible, you don’t speak the language yet and you don’t know how to connect with new people. Many newcomers (asylum seekers, status holders, Ukrainians) in the Netherlands face this challenge.

Welcome app makes building such a new life easier. We do this by making relevant information, activities, services and local organizations accessible in one place: the Welcome app. In this way, Welcome app supports municipalities in carrying out their tasks effectively and offers organizations a platform to reach newcomers. Our technology supports integration, participation, self-direction and equal access to opportunities.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a content marketer with 4-5 years of experience.

As content marketer you will be responsible for content marketing towards our partners and potential customers. We have significant growth ambitions and are building our go-to-market machine to do so. Content marketing will play an important role in this. With articles that connect directly to the experiences of our customers, we hope to increase the number of inbound leads significantly.

In addition, you are the owner of the content in the app. Welcome app wants to become the place for reliable information for newcomers and other stakeholders. There is already a lot of information in the app, but it can be much richer, smarter and more personal. If Welcome app can offer the right content, at the right time, to the right person we will really make a difference.

You will work closely with our Go-to-Market Manager, Social media & content creator and other colleagues and will be given the freedom to further shape your role yourself, so come through with your ideas.

What will you do?

• Content strategy: Together with the Go-to-Market Manager you will develop a clear and effective content strategy and execute it independently.
• Content creation: You create smart, accessible and targeted content for the app and online channels, making smart use of AI to organize your work and output as optimally and efficiently as possible and automate where possible
• Project management: You will lead local content development projects with our partners at municipalities.
• Activity offerings: You ensure that the range of activities in the app is diverse and up-to-date.
• Quality management: You continuously monitor the quality, timeliness and operation of the content and automatic translations.
• Networking: You build a network of external experts, organizations and content owners who support you on current and relevant topics.
• Scheduling: You maintain your own content marketing calendar and daily schedule.

• You know how to make complex subjects understandable to everyone
• You are inquisitive, like to learn about what is going on in our field, and quickly see and create opportunities for appealing and relevant articles
• You are linguistically very strong and also help your colleagues keep content correct and in the tone and terms appropriate to the intended audience.
• This role requires an excellent command of the Dutch language both verbally and in writing. Because we also have several colleagues in our diverse team who are less fluent in Dutch, we speak English among ourselves.
