Business Development Internship

At Zalm Partners, you will be right in the middle of the growth of multiple ventures, working within small, decisive teams with short lines and plenty of room to think along and build along. As a Business Development intern, you will not be working on isolated assignments in a corner, but take part in the commercial engine of several companies at once.

Zalm Partners is an entrepreneurial start-up with multiple companies under one roof. Thanks to the start-up culture, everything moves fast, you get a lot of responsibility and you see the effect of your work directly.

We also regularly organise events for prospects and clients. These are fun moments that you, as an intern, simply attend and help make happen.

What will you do?

As a Business Development intern you help Zalm Partners and its companies find, research and convert new opportunities into growth. Concretely, you will work on:

• Market research into potential clients, partners and markets
• Mapping and qualifying leads and prospects
• Contributing ideas on commercial strategy and proposition
• Preparing sales and partner meetings (pitches, presentations, one-pagers)
• Maintaining and improving the CRM and sales funnel
• Analysing results and making recommendations for improvement

A large part of your work serves two of Zalm Partners' companies:

Zalm Golf: Here you focus on expanding the commercial network and attracting new clients and collaborations. Think of partnerships, member acquisition and identifying new revenue models within the golf industry.

Zalm Legal: Here you focus on business growth within legal services: mapping target groups, supporting the acquisition of new clients and strengthening the market position.

Because you work for several companies at the same time, you quickly learn to switch between different sectors, target groups and commercial challenges.

Who are we looking for?

• You are enrolled in a university or university of applied sciences programme, for example Commercial Economics, Business Administration, International Business or a comparable field
• You have a commercial, entrepreneurial mindset and think in opportunities
• You are independent, proactive and dare to take initiative
• You are analytically strong and work in a structured way
• You communicate smoothly, both verbally and in writing (Dutch; English is a plus)
• You enjoy working in a dynamic environment with multiple companies
• You have an affinity with or interest in golf
