Want to help shape the future of offshore energy? As a PQ & Tender Support Officer, you play a key role in winning new projects that contribute to the energy transition. You connect people, coordinate expertise and make sure Van Oord presents its best story to clients around the world.

The position

As a PQ & Tender Support Officer, you are at the heart of our commercial success. You manage vendor registrations, ESG pre qualifications and customer information to ensure Van Oord is always ready to compete for new opportunities. You are one of the first points of contact for our clients and support them throughout the pre qualification process.

You also play a central role throughout the full tender cycle for Offshore Energy projects. You analyse tender and pre qualification documents, identify customer requirements and initiate the tender preparation process. Working closely with colleagues from Commercial, QHSE, Finance, Legal and Operations, you coordinate the information needed to deliver high quality and compliant submissions. By translating customer requirements into clear actions, you help secure projects that contribute to the energy transition worldwide.

Your impact

Your work makes a direct contribution to winning new projects and strengthening Van Oord's position in the offshore energy market. You bring people, information and expertise together to deliver complete, accurate and compelling submissions.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing vendor registrations, ESG assessments and pre qualification platforms to keep Van Oord qualified for future opportunities.
  • Analysing customer requirements and coordinating the pre qualification and tender process from start to finish.
  • Coordinating input from Commercial, QHSE, Finance, Legal and Operations to deliver high quality and compliant submissions.
  • Preparing and managing pre qualification documents, RFI responses and tender documentation while showcasing Van Oord's expertise, innovations and sustainable solutions.
  • Improving processes, maintaining the knowledge database and supporting complex proposal processes where multiple stakeholders are involved.

Your workplace

You become part of the Tender Support team, a group of experienced colleagues who work together on international projects across Offshore Energy, Dredging and Infra. Together with two dedicated colleagues, you focus on Offshore Energy tenders while collaborating closely with specialists throughout the organisation.

We work as one team. We support each other, share knowledge and continuously improve the way we work. Everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas and take ownership. This creates an environment where you can grow professionally while making a real impact on projects that help shape the future.

About you

You enjoy working in a dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly. You stay organised, keep an overview and deliver accurate work, even under tight deadlines. Building relationships comes naturally to you and you enjoy working with colleagues across different disciplines. You are proactive, independent and eager to learn by taking on new challenges.

You also bring:

  • A completed bachelor's degree or an equivalent level of working and thinking.
  • At least one year of experience with tendering or pre qualifications in a similar role. Experience in the maritime sector is an advantage but not essential.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, including a good understanding of legal English.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate information across multiple stakeholders.

We offer

This is your opportunity to make a visible contribution to projects that support the energy transition while developing your career in an international environment.

  • A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience.
  • Attractive travel allowance (€0.31 per km) and home working allowance (€2.45 per day).
  • 32 holidays, of which a maximum of 7 are collective.
  • Variable bonus, partly dependent on company results.
  • Attractive pension scheme.
  • Option for collective health insurance (Van Oord pays for your supplementary package).
  • Extensive development opportunities, including a comprehensive online academy via GoodHabitz.
  • Communities to join, such as Young Van Oord, Van Oord Women and the Van Oord staff association.
  • Various events and sports activities, such as skiing, sailing weekends, cycling and motorcycling.

‘At Van Oord, I don’t just work on projects, I get to see them come to life.’
