Join Mixpanel as a Senior Partner Development Manager on the Strategic Alliances team.

About Mixpanel

Mixpanel’s AI-first digital analytics help teams accelerate adoption, improve retention, and ship with confidence. Its platform combines product and web analytics, session replay, experimentation, feature flags, and metric trees to deliver insights customers trust.

About the Team

The Strategic Alliances team is small, fast, and outcome-oriented. It spearheads the identification, investigation, development, and execution of initiatives and partnerships aimed at advancing some of Mixpanel’s most strategic priorities. As Mixpanel continues its evolution, this team is at the forefront of defining new ecosystem realities and opportunities, particularly within emerging spaces in and enabled by AI. LLMs, vibecoders, and MCP servers and their adjacencies are its workspace.

About the Role

You’ll own a portfolio of partner opportunities and sourcing of structural deals — embedded distribution, revenue share, API embedding, committed co-sell — with the companies defining how AI-native software gets built and distributed. You will target new relationships, owning the process from first conversation through execution, and provide due diligence support for in-flight opportunities. The role requires comfort with ambiguity and the ability to translate company priorities into actionable and achievable partnerships. You will work closely with stakeholders and senior leadership across Product & Engineering, Marketing, Channel, and Sales teams to ensure tight alignment and smooth execution.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of a set of strategic partnerships with LLMs, hyperscalers, AI developer tools, data platforms, and niche providers who can fill product gaps.
  • Market analysis and due diligence, with emphasis on quantitative support for new partnerships and market entries.
  • Deal structuring and negotiation, including term sheets, revenue share, data licensing, API embedding, pipeline, and revenue commitments.
  • Expand and elevate Mixpanel exposure within newest strategic partners, driving alignment up to and including C-level relationships.
  • Work closely with Channel & Enablement teams on seamless handoffs, as needed, around go-to-market execution, including co-sell motions, joint pipeline, and co-marketing in service of revenue or branding.
  • Manage inbound partner opportunities by screening quickly and routing appropriately.
  • Lead cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Legal to close and activate partnerships.
  • Design and execute unique playbooks with partners with aligned, committed outcomes.
  • Collaborate with marketing and demand generation teams to launch partnerships and campaigns designed to spread awareness and drive pipeline.
  • Define and evangelize the value proposition with partners: what you are doing together, why, and who should care.

We’re Looking for Someone with

  • 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 5+ years in strategic technology partnerships, alliances, or corporate development; ideally at a hyperscaler, high-growth SaaS company, or with a consulting or banking background before moving into an operator role.
  • A track record of closing deals with real structure, including negotiating terms rather than only managing relationships.
  • Fluency in the modern data stack, including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Supabase, and the AI developer ecosystem, including LLM platforms, agentic frameworks, vibe-coding tools, and MCP servers.
  • Technical fluency to hold a credible conversation with a CPO or platform team, combined with commercial ability to close deals.
  • An innate sense of urgency and prioritization, with fast qualification, clear point of view, and no committee thinking.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to create executive-level deliverables that are outcome-first, data-backed, and decision-ready.
  • Hands-on experience with AI; you’ve moved beyond chat interfaces and built, shipped, or experimented directly, giving you a credible understanding of what developers experience when evaluating a platform.
  • The ability to operate and create structure within ambiguity, translating company goals into executable initiatives and clearly articulating that connection.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and the ability to drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales/GTM, Legal, and Channel organizations.
  • Strong executive presence, negotiation capability, and comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Bonus Points For

  • MBA or other advanced business degree, JD, or engineering degree.
  • Previous experience in management or strategy consulting.
  • Experience partnering with Snowflake, Databricks, GCP, Anthropic, and others across the AI space.
  • Hands-on experience with Mixpanel and the ability to connect the dots on partner opportunities.
  • Experience selling or partnering in a product-led growth context.
  • Experience building or shipping an integration.

Compensation

The total target cash compensation includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions, depending on role and level. This position is also eligible for equity consideration and benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage. Salary ranges are benchmarked to SF Bay Area technology market data and may change over time. Individual pay within the range is determined by experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and other factors.
