Are you ready to work at the centre of high-stakes transactions, growth choices and value-creation agendas? We are looking for a Manager CDD and Value Creation to join our Strategy& Deals team in Amsterdam. As part of Strategy&, PwC's global strategy consulting business, you will help private equity investors, corporates and entrepreneurs answer their most critical strategic questions – from commercial due diligence and investment thesis development to growth strategy and post-deal value creation, translating rigorous analysis into board-level decisions.

What makes this opportunity unique:

  • Ring-fenced CDD and value creation team: Build a dedicated capability around commercial due diligence, deal strategy and growth strategy, with a clear proposition for investors and corporate M&A teams.
  • End-to-end deal exposure: Work across the investment lifecycle: market scans, outside-in assessments, buy-side and vendor CDD, business plan reviews, synergy and value-creation plans, and strategic post-deal support.
  • Senior client impact: Partner with private equity and infrastructure teams, portfolio-company management, corporates, entrepreneurs, and Strategy& and PwC specialists to shape investment decisions.
  • Entrepreneurial practice building: Help grow a distinctive Strategy& Deals platform in the Netherlands by developing propositions, sector insights, client relationships and high-performing teams.

We are looking for a sharp strategy professional who combines hypothesis-led problem solving with the energy to build the practice further. You will be part of a growing, international team where speed, judgement, teamwork and client impact matter every day.

What you will do

We are looking for experienced strategy consultants, deal-strategy professionals and corporate strategy/M&A talent to join at Manager level. In this role you will:

  • Lead commercial due diligence and deal-strategy engagements, including market sizing and growth forecasting, competitive positioning, customer and channel analysis, business model assessment and investment thesis testing.
  • Translate deal questions into focused workplans, steer primary and secondary research, build robust analytical fact bases and develop clear recommendations for investment committees and senior executives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, provide coaching and manage workstreams, often working with experts from across the PwC network in the Netherlands and internationally to help clients close the gap from strategy to execution.
  • Contribute to business development, proposals, thought leadership and external visibility while building your own professional brand and network in the investor and corporate M&A community.

What we look for in a candidate

  • A background in strategy consulting, commercial due diligence, deal advisory, transaction services, private equity, corporate strategy, M&A or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, for example at a leading strategy consultancy, Big Four deal advisory practice, investment firm, corporate strategy/M&A department, or a combination.
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset, comfortable with quantitative and qualitative problem solving; able to write crisply, build compelling storylines and present clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in project and team management: structuring work packages, motivating team members, managing tight timelines and aligning expectations with internal and external clients.
  • A team player with a healthy dose of humour, able to create momentum in fast-paced transaction settings.
  • An emerging network of investors, corporates, founders, advisors or sector experts that you are motivated to develop further with us.
  • Advantages: proven CDD experience, sector expertise in industrial products, business services, technology, energy, healthcare or consumer markets, and familiarity with PE deal processes, value-creation planning or vendor due diligence.
