Join McKinsey as an Estimator - Capital Analytics, where you will work on pressing and complex client issues by deploying estimating and analytical tools to develop construction should-cost models, while also supporting the development of proprietary tools, benchmarking databases, and market perspectives.

Your impact

You will work in teams as an analyst practitioner, typically alongside 3–5 consultants, playing an active role in client engagements. This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing communications and recommendations.

You’ll present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members.

You’ll focus on building and scaling analytical solutions used across portfolio optimization, project development and value improvement, project execution, and cost and schedule diagnostics. You will prepare detailed cost estimates and budget forecasts for large-scale capital projects using advanced software tools and internal proprietary databases.

You will contribute to McKinsey’s industry knowledge by staying up to date with developments in the capital projects industry and by contributing to proprietary models and analyses. This includes gathering information needed to develop these tools and synthesizing findings into McKinsey-formatted products, including complex models, summary reports, and presentations outlining key findings and recommendations for internal and external audiences.

You will gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. You will receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues on your teams.
